1 Terms of Reference Duty Station: Type of contract: Title: Duration of the contract: Egypt Service Contract (Only Egyptians) Egypt Post - Several position: Architects, Interior Design, Structure Design, Site Engineer and Electromechanical Design. 1 year (with possibility of extension) 1. Background: The project is part of Egypt Post s commitment to modernize its services to citizens and to help better delivering of its services to mainly the poor whom are considered to be the majority in need for a better quality of life. The project aims to achieve its objective in improving EP s internal structure, renovating its postal offices, facilitating the financial services delivery in the best manner & attaining customer satisfaction, through the following 3 outputs: a) EP s Technical and Institutional Capacity enhanced, b) EP service delivery mechanisms modernized to improve staff/customer satisfaction, c) EP equipped and utilizing ICT technologies to widen and improve accessibility. 2. Vacancies Description: Architect Sector (3 positions) 2 Architects - Design, execute & on site engineering. - Provide solutions for project implementation considering customer s needs & time frame. - Preparation of bill of quantities and generate shop drawings - Preparation to tender and contract documents. - Review and preparation of tender reports and analysis. University Degree in Architecture Minimum of 7 years experience Very good skills in AutoCAD drawing (detailed drawings)-2d 1

2 1 Interior Design - Design, execute & on site engineering. - 3D modeling, Layout Planning, perspectives designing, color scheming, prepare presentations. - Provide solutions for project implementation considering customer s needs & time frame. - Preparation of bill of quantities and generate shop drawings - Preparation to tender and contract documents. - Review and preparation of tender reports and analysis University Degree in Architecture Minimum of 5 years experience Very good skill in AutoCAD drawing (detailed drawings)-2d & 3D Very good capabilities in making perspectives in AutoCAD-3D and rendering in 3D-Max. Good knowledge in Adobe Photoshop Skill in manual drawing and color rendering. Civil Sector ( 3 positions) 1 structure Design Performs structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience. Provides drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters. Researches design options and document findings for project lead engineer. Develops probable construction cost estimates for his/her projects within the department. May direct and supervise other Designers/Drafters activities. Coordinates work with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, electrical, etc. Designs and lays out complete systems and components of a Company project with all related facilities, including design elements for which there may be no clearly established precedents. Utilizes good judgment and prior experience, anticipates problems at the outset, and provides solutions. Performs specialized design computations and analysis within a given discipline. Performs interdisciplinary reviews and provides coordinating data to ensure a compatible 2

3 design. Understands and applies company commonly used design standards and methods. Helps establish or revise guidelines, as appropriate. Coordinates with Engineers and other disciplines to ensure quality of design. Performs checking procedures as appropriate to the discipline and assigned by the immediate supervisor. Helps train lower level Designers. Assumes the lead engineer s role on assigned projects. Completes additional duties as assigned. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering. Min. of 7 years relevant work experience. Should have good knowledge in structural computer software such as STAAD, SAAP2000, and Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). 2 Site Engineer Monitoring all civil engineering aspects of the project to ensure compliance with approved and proper standards Review and monitor variations to the work to mitigate time and cost impacts for any required changes Liaising with the other Inspectors and Project Engineers to provide support and guidance as required Maintain full site records, including daily site diaries in an approved format, and formal monthly progress photography. Provide reports on the progress of the works. taking responsibility for health and safety on site making judgments and solving problems; 3

4 University Degree in Architecture Minimum of 5 years experience Knowledge of the technical problems related to the civil construction activities. Electromechanical Sector ( 3 ) 1 electromechanical Design ELECTRICAL ( 1 ) Employee responsibility include but not limited to all aspects of Electrical works for, power, fire alarm, telephone, security, CCTV, MATV, lighting protection, and getting desired work performance from assigned department staff, preparation of project programme in close coordination and inputs provided by Projects Dept. preparation of equipment / material schedules and submittal of equipment / material submittals and O & M Manuals, preparation & submittal of drawings schedules / design / shop drawings / As built drawings, Engineering assistance / advice to Purchase Dept. for. items (equipments only), Engineering related correspondence / attending meetings with Client / Main Contractor / Consultants, coordination with Projects Dept. to meet any contingencies / urgent project requirements, leading a team of design Engineers / Auto Cad Draftsman and file keeping for above works. MECHANICAL ( 1 ) Employee responsibility includes all aspect of Design works for HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage & Fire Fighting Works including preparation of project programme, preparation of Design / Shop drawing schedules and submittal of Design / Shop drawings, Design calculations, Engineering assistance to various departments, Engineering related correspondences, attending meetings with clients / main contractors / consultants, coordination with projects dept. to meet any contingencies / urgent project requirements, leading a team of Engineers and ACAD Draughtsman for above works. A Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 5 years experience in Design and Development of HVAC Electrical Boards and Control panels. 4

5 With sound knowledge in the different principles and standards related to the design and development of the HVAC electrical boards and Control Panel. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, AutoCAD or other relevant design Systems and ERP systems. An understanding of the manufacturing processes and quality standards are preferred. Good Communication skills in English (Arabic an advantage) With good Analytical and Conceptual skills. Results oriented, innovative. 1 Site Engineer Supervise electrical jobs based on shop drawings and specifications Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and assess them against the project schedule Ensure the availability of adequate quantity of electrical material Provide input to Quantity Surveyor for interim payment applications Conduct safety tool box lecture to enforce safety regulations for individuals on the site Raise inspection requests for work completed Ensure work is executed according to contract specifications, approved design drawings, agreed procedures, and method statements Implement strict adherence to safety rules and regulations Reduce the wastage of material and increase manpower productivity Interact with client and consultant regarding the status of work Complete necessary quality assurance documentation of work under direct control Update drawings to fit newly approved modifications for As-Built drawings Check all installations in preliminary stage A Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 10 years experience 5
