16 Improve Data Confidence Topic Today Vision Participation of CAE data & structure in the Data Management environment CAE is usually outside of any data management structure CAE will be able to participate in data management environment, which is standard practice for CAD today CAD/BOM alignment with CAE information based on same data Changes/Updates to CAD that automatically flow into the CAE structure Delivering results to the enterprise CAE BOM generated by expert Concept CAE BOM does not feed CAD BOM CAD information is passed to CAE environment without real product structure understanding/organization due to the absence of CAE data management Its Its not not just just the the right right data data but but the the right right data data for for the the right right analysis Simulation leads and and follows Design When changes are made in CAD they are difficult to follow through to the CAE process without a complete rework of the CAE model Results from Simulation are either stored locally or on DVD, leaving only the final report. Alignment of CAD and CAE will enable rapid generation of Finite Element Models with appropriate orientations and structures, by performance attribute With the alignment of CAD & CAE, changes will enable rapid update of the CAE representation with assurance of up-to-date geometry & configuration with the CAD structure.
