1 Middle School Endorsements For Elementary Education Students (For Undergraduate Catalog) Middle school endorsements can be added to your State of Illinois Teaching Certificate by meeting the following course requirements: Mathematics Endorsement: 22 hours including a Middle School Methods course is required Reading Endorsement: 24 hours & Content Test required All other subject endorsements: 18 hours in content area ALL endorsements require the following courses in addition to content courses: TCH and PSY 302. Please note the State of Illinois requires C or better grade for all coursework used to fulfill certificate or endorsement requirements Courses listed are current ISU courses, courses from other institutions or taken more than 7 years ago are subject to articulation See an advisor if you have any questions.
