University of West England continued in Pre-Clinical studies at TAU Campus in Guyana then it s a return to USA for Clinical Rotations in TAU s affiliated hospitals. Concordia College - New York College of Medicine University of Central Nicaragua: Texila American University (TAU) and UNESCO- IAU listed Universidad Central de Nicaragua (UCN) (English name: Central University of Nicaragua) have signed an agreement, to collaborate academically, to offer various programs from Vocational to Doctoral level and also works in the areas of scientific research. UCN was founded in 1997 & is fully accredited and recognized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Nicaragua via the National Council of Universities CNU in official government session No and approved by the Assembly of the Republic Act No according to law. UCN is listed with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) International Association of Universities and the international handbook of recognised universities published by the United Nations. University of West England - UK Texila American University (TAU) and University of West England (UWE) have signed an agreement for a twinning program where Nursing students shall study for the first two years in Guyana at TAU campus and the last two years at UWE. Concordia College - New York Concordia College is 132 years old heritage, was established since 1881 and had recently signed up a Memorandum of Understanding with Texila American University especially for the Doctor of Medicine with US grounded exposure. Students enrol for a 2 year Pre Medical Associate of Bachelor s degree in Concordia College-New York's historic campus which is just a short train ride from Manhattan. The next two years are College of Nursing COLLEGE OF MEDICINE Choosing a medical college is about choosing a place that enables you to reach your goals and ambitions. We have been giving over-achievers a leg up on the competition at Texila. At Texila, you will have a seriously-talented, diverse-campus community behind you. The college of medicine offers the below mentioned programs. A. Doctor of Medicine (4 years) Basically designed for students who should have a Bachelor s Degree/ Associate degree/ Diploma in relevant science areas (Allied Health Science, Life Sciences etc.). The program is divided into two parts, first 2 years as Pre-clinicals and the next 2 years as Clinicals. B. Doctor of Medicine (BS MD 5.5 years) This program targets the students with 10 to 12 years of education and student with Non-Pre medical College Credits. Students who have earned 90 college level credit hours from undergraduate institutions or concurrently during the completion of secondary school are encouraged to apply to the 4 years MD Medicine Program, where the student will join the program at Pre-Clinical phase since those science based 90 college level credit hours will be considered in the admissions process. This program is divided into 3 parts Pre-Med (16 months), Pre-clinical (2 years) and the Clinical (2 years) COLLEGE OF NURSING TAU prepares graduates to perform basic nursing and restorative care for patients involving safety, personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility, basic mental

4 health, protection of the patient and the patient s rights, observing the patient and reporting to the nurse. The college of nursing offers the below mentioned programs A. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (4 years) This is designed for the students from High School as a 4 year / 12 semester program (3 semesters a year). Students from A levels or Higher Secondary schooling with the last 2 years focusing on subjects in Biology and Chemistry also go for the BSN nursing program with an exemption of 2 semesters B. Advanced Standing Nursing Texila American University has a continuing commitment to assist the registered nurses in attaining the baccalaureate degree. All RN students will have the opportunity to receive advanced placement credit upon completion of specific courses. The duration of the program will be 2 years. RESIDENCY AND POST GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION: Post Graduate medical programs, preparing you for Exams with Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Radiology, Child Health etc. The Regular program is a unique program offered by TAU in Academic Partnership with UCN, whereby students who have completed their under graduate in MBBS can pursue the MD/MS program through Texila American University, prepare and take the Royal college exams leading them to Licensure worldwide including countries like India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Singapore etc. These students will be undergoing the preparation for the PG examination through TAU affiliated Hospitals for a period of 3 years. The aim and objectives of the M.Ch Certification course is to provide a clinically based Master s Degree, designed to gain super specialty experience in the respective specialization. This program is offered in a Joint Venture with the University of Central Nicaragua. PHD in Medicine by Research PhD is a unique degree in that it is not focused on acquiring more knowledge. A Masters essentially provides more knowledge or more in-depth knowledge in a subject. But doing a PhD is oriented around research. The student can their queries related to each subject module to the student coordinator on or before the next module starts. The student coordinator will collectively send all queries to the subject experts / faculty for clarification. The faculties will answer the query and it will be uploaded in the forum for other students /future student's reference. Learning Management Center [LMC] for Distance & Online Programs: We explore opportunities to join hands with people & organizations who are visionaries and desire to be a catalyst of educational growth in their country. We want to create quality manpower in the community. Especially, this center is to ramp up the growth for Distance and Online program. Role of LMC: Should be responsible to recruit and enroll students for various programs offered by the university. Arrange seminar for students periodically. Academic Strategic Partnership: TAU & ABE-UK Partnership Texila American University has signed MOU with the Association of Business Executives for advanced Management Programs on February 2014 where ABE UK students shall have credit transfer to TAU-UCN's management programs (various specializations) in Bachelor s and Master s Level. Students who have completed ABE diploma at different levels like level 5, level 6 and level 7 can enter into the Bachelor s or Integrated Master s Programs of TAU. Students can choose the appropriate program from a wide variety of specializations like Business Management, Financial Management, Management of Information Systems, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Travel, Tourism and Hospital Management etc. At the end of the program TAU awards the degree through the partnership with Universidad Central de Nicaragua (UCN).
