1 NELLIE JOB SEARCH WEBSITES & RESOURCES Every law student has a unique plan for their own career. Decisions about type of work, legal interest areas, and geographic preferences will all vary. This list of resources is long and can easily be overwhelming so we strongly encourage students to meet with a career counselor at their home institution to obtain guidance on the best websites for their own individual circumstances. In addition, a number of the websites listed are member only. Your school is likely to have access to many of them and you will need to contact your Career office to receive the necessary username and/or password. GOOD STARTING PLACES GENERAL LAW FIRMS GOVERNMENT CLERKSHIPS PUBLIC INTEREST ADDITIONAL SOURCES OF INFORMATION 1. GENERAL Symplicity [or similar internal job posting data base]. Each school maintains its own database of job postings that is accessible only to its students and/or alums. This is usually the best place for all students to start their search.
