1 HomeAway Premium and Classic Travel Insurance Policy Summary This is a summary of the cover provided under this Travel Insurance Policy. This summary does not contain the full terms and conditions of the cover which can be found in the travel insurance policy document. It is important that You read the policy document carefully., Insurer The insurer of this policy is Europ Assistance S.A acting through its Irish Branch office (trading as Europ Assistance S.A Irish Branch). Benefits and services under this policy are provided by Collinson Insurance Services Limited. Type of Insurance Cover Provided This is personal travel insurance. Significant Features and Benefits Your policy provides cover for the benefits summarised on the following pages and which are explained in full in Your policy document: Significant Conditions And Exclusions Policy Reference Eligibility Subscription Rules Important Health Requirements Medical Conditions To be eligible to claim under this Policy You must have - found the Rental Property through a HomeAway Group Website - paid the Owner by debit or credit card, PayPal, cheque or bank transfer - signed a rental agreement with the Owner clarifying the terms and conditions of the rental (including their cancellation policy) - notified HomeAway of Your loss You must take out this Policy within a maximum of TEN calendar days after the deposit has been sent to the Owner, If You do not do this, You will not benefit from the cancellation cover under Section 5 and fraudulent transactions cover under Section 12. You must comply with the following conditions in order to have full protection under this policy. If You do not comply We may cancel the policy, refuse to deal with Your claim or reduce the amount of any claim payment. This insurance operates on the following basis: 1. To be covered, You must be healthy, fit to travel and to undertake Your planned Trip; 2. The insurance will NOT cover You when You are travelling against the advice of a Medical Practitioner (or would be travelling against the advice of a Medical Practitioner had You sought his/her advice); 3. The insurance will NOT cover You when You are travelling with the intention of obtaining medical treatment or consultation abroad; 4. The insurance will NOT cover You if You have any undiagnosed symptoms that require attention or investigation in the future (that is symptoms for which You are awaiting investigations/consultations, or awaiting results of investigations, where the underlying cause has not been established). You will not be covered for any claim arising directly or indirectly from any Pre-existing Medical Conditions: - any cardiovascular or circulatory condition (e.g. heart condition, hypertension, blood clots, raised cholesterol, stroke, aneurysm) that has occurred at any time; - any past or current Medical Condition that has given rise to symptoms or for which any form of treatment or prescribed medication, medical consultation, investigation or follow-up/check-up has been required or received during the last 2 years. This policy will not cover any claims under Section 5 (Cancelling or Curtailing Your Trip) arising directly or indirectly from a Pre-existing Medical Condition, that was known to You prior to the start of the Period of Insurance, affecting a Close Relative, travelling companion who is not insured under this policy or person with whom You intend to stay whilst on Please see: Meaning of Words Close Relative 1

2 Significant Conditions And Exclusions Policy Reference Age Limits Residency Emergency Treatment Misuse of Drugs or Alcohol Reckless or Malicious Acts Terrorist Activity Your Trip. Section 5 You must be under 80 at the date Your insurance starts. Please note that if You are under 16 or over 65 reduced cover will apply to certain sections of the policy. You must have Your main home in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man (Your Home Country) and lived there for at least six of the last 12 months before You bought Your policy. All Trips must also begin and end in Your Home Country You must contact Us immediately if You go into hospital or before You incur any medical expenses over 500. If the emergency stops You from contacting Us immediately, We must be contacted within 48 hours. No section of this policy shall apply in respect of any claim arising directly or indirectly from Your solvent abuse, drug addiction or excessive alcohol intake. We will not pay for any claim arising or resulting from You being involved in any malicious or reckless act, including jumping or moving from one balcony to another regardless of the height of the balcony. Except under Section 2 (Medical Emergency and Repatriation), no cover will be in force if Your loss is directly or indirectly as a result of terrorist activity. Personal Assistance Services If You ask Us to, We will - provide information about Your destination - arrange to transfer up to 500 in emergency funds - pass on up to two urgent messages following Your illness, accident or delay - assist You in replacing lost drugs or other essential medicines or glasses - Non-emergency medical referrals - Tracing lost luggage - Replacement Travel Documents - Home Emergency referral 2. Medical Emergency & Repatriation If You are injured or unexpectedly taken ill or die during a Trip outside Your Home Country We will pay for Your: - Medical expenses for the immediate needs of an unforeseen medical emergency; - Burial or cremation (up to 2500) or transportation costs home of Your body or ashes; - Additional costs of repatriation when recommended by Our Medical Officer. 3. Emergency Dental Treatment We will pay for the cost of necessary temporary treatment for the immediate relief of pain or discomfort and/or emergency repairs to dentures carried out solely to reduce distress in eating. Limits of Cover Classic Premium Nil 250 per trip 3,000,000 10,000, Key Conditions and Exclusions This section does not cover: - The cost of any inoculations or vaccinations; - The amount of funds transferred. We will debit Your credit or charge card with this amount; - The cost of drugs/blood supplied; You must provide Us with the luggage tag number - The cost of any replaced items; All charges for call out and work undertaken by repairer; (please see Section 1) This section does not cover: - Claims arising directly or indirectly from Pre-existing Medical Conditions - Costs incurred in Your Home Country; - Costs incurred in Australia as a result of not registering with Medicare; - Costs where transport home has not been arranged by Us; - Air sea rescue and transfer costs; - Costs incurred when engaging in Special or Winter Sports unless the additional premium has been paid. - The Policy Excess (please see Section 2) This section does not cover: - The cost of subsequent permanent or routine treatment; - Damage to dentures not caused while You are wearing them; - Costs incurred in Your Home Country; - Costs incurred when engaging in Special or Winter Sports unless the additional premium has been paid. - The Policy Excess (please see Section 3) 4. Additional Accommodation & Travelling Costs If You have a valid claim under Section 2 1,500 per trip 1,500 per trip This section does not cover: - Claims for costs unless Our Medical Officer confirms that it is medically 2

3 What is Covered (Medical Emergency and Repatriation) We will pay for the additional travelling and accommodation costs for one person to accompany You on Your journey Home. 5. Cancellation & Curtailment This section only applies to amounts You have had to pay in respect of those specifically covered by this policy. We will either reimburse You for direct travel and accommodation that You have paid or make the necessary travel arrangements to return You to Your Home Country if - You are forced to cancel or cut short Your Trip due to unforeseen illness, injury or death of You or a Close Relative; or - You abandon Your Trip following a delay in leaving Your Home Country of more than 12 hours caused by unexpected Strike, adverse weather conditions or mechanical breakdown or accident of the public transport taking You overseas. Refer to the Cancellation & Curtailment section of the policy wording for full information of What is covered Limits of Cover Classic Premium 1,500 3,500 Key Conditions and Exclusions necessary for someone to accompany You on Your journey Home; - Costs in excess of an economy or tourist class ticket. (please see Section 4) This Section only applies if You took out this policy within TEN days of sending Your deposit to the owner/leaseholder of the property and at least 96 hours before the rental period is due to start. You must obtain written evidence such as a medical certificate from the treating general practitioner or a letter from the Carrier confirming the reason for the cancellation. This section does not cover: - Claims arising directly or indirectly from any Pre-existing Medical Conditions where the circumstances are as described within the Medical Conditions and Dependency on Others sections above; - Claims where the actual or planned Strike or Industrial Action was common knowledge when You made Your travel arrangements or took out this insurance, whichever is later; - The failure of the provider of any part of the booked Trip to supply the service or transport (for example due to error or insolvency of the provider); - Any costs relating to airport taxes or air passenger duty; - Costs associated with car hire, parking, pre-booked excursions, or activity or theme park tickets or entrance fees; - Any claim arising from a volcanic eruption (including volcanic ash being carried by the wind), earthquake or tsunami; - The Policy Excess (please see Section 5) 6. Personal Luggage We will pay up to the amount shown if Your Personal Luggage is damaged, stolen, destroyed or lost (and not recovered) during a Trip. - Overall Maximum payable - Single article, or Pair or Set of articles - Valuables - Limit if Insured Person is under 16 - Sunglasses or prescription glasses - Mobile phones - Personal luggage or Valuables lost from a beach or poolside - Tobacco products or alcohol Nil Nil Nil N/A Nil Nil Nil Nil 1, You must provide an official written report to support the loss/theft/damage. For example, from the local police or from the transport Carrier. This must be obtained within 24 hours of discovery. The amount paid to You will include an allowance for wear and tear and loss of value. This section does not cover Personal Luggage left in an Unattended vehicle unless it is in a locked dashboard or boot or in a locked luggage compartment that is fitted and covered with a roller blind cover or tray. Valuables left anywhere in an unattended vehicle or checked in with a Carrier or left in the baggage hold or storage area of a Carrier The Policy Excess. (please see Section 6) 7. Luggage Delay You must provide receipts and a report from 3

4 What is Covered We will pay up to the amount shown for the purchase of essential items if Your luggage is certified by the Carrier as having been lost or misplaced for at least 12 hours on the outward journey of a Trip. Limits of Cover Key Conditions and Exclusions Classic Premium Nil 50 the Carrier confirming the length of delay. This section does not cover any claim arising in connection with a Trip solely within Your Home Country. These sums will be refunded to Us if a claim is made under the Personal Luggage section. 8. Money & Passport We will pay up to the amount shown if during a Trip the Money You are either carrying on You or have left securely in a locked safety deposit box is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed - Overall maximum - Bank notes and coins - limit if Insured Person is under 16 If Your passport is lost or stolen whilst outside of Your Home Country, We will pay up to the amount shown for reasonable additional travel and accommodation expenses You incur abroad to obtain a replacement. Nil Nil N/A Nil (please see Section 7) You must provide an official written report to support the loss/theft/damage. For example, from the local police or from the transport Carrier. This must be obtained within 24 hours of discovery. You must also produce evidence of the withdrawal of any bank notes and coins being claimed. The replacement cost of a passport or temporary passport is not covered. This section does not cover the Policy Excess. (please see Section 8) 9. Personal Liability We will cover You against all sums that You legally have to pay in compensation if You become legally liable for - accidental injury or death of anyone else or - damage to their property. We will also pay law costs awarded to a claimant or incurred to defend any claim that We agree to being contested. 1,000,000 per policy 2,000,000 per policy This section does not cover: - Injury or death of any member of Your Family or household or any of their property - Claims arising from the use of any aircraft, vehicle, animals or firearms - Claims where You are taking part in any Special or Winter Sports where this policy specifically excludes Personal Liability cover - Any claim arising in connection with a Trip solely within Your Home Country - The Policy Excess (please see Section 9) 10. Legal Protection Where You suffer death, illness or personal injury during the Trip and You decide to take out legal proceedings for compensation, provided We consider that You are likely to obtain a reasonable settlement, We will advance on Your behalf: - Up to the amount shown for legal costs and expenses directly relating to the pursuit of these proceedings. If You do not receive sufficient compensation to cover the full cost of this advance, We will pay the shortfall (up to the amount shown). This benefit will be offset against the advance described above 11. Non-compliance of the Leased Premises We will pay You a pro-rata part of the rental charges You have paid for each day that You are not able to occupy the Rental Property because of one of the following reasons and the owner/landlord refuses to refund Your rental charges to You - the property has no power or water for more than 48 hours at any one time - the roof allows water into the property which makes the property unusable - the number of rooms available for use is less than the number described on the website - the overall habitable area of the property is 10,000 per policy 2,000 per policy 4 25,000 per policy 5,000 per policy We shall have complete control over the legal proceedings though You are able to choose Your own lawyer. This section does not cover - Any incident that has not been notified to Us within 90 days - Pursuit of claims against Us, Our agent, a travel agent, tour operator or Carrier - Any claim arising in connection with a Trip solely within Your Home Country (please see Section 10) You must contact the Owner the same day as the incident is discovered and allow them at least 48 hours to correct the defects or reinstate the power or water. You must also contact HomeAway within 12 hours of notifying the Owner to report the defects. If You need to claim, You should send Us photos of the leased premises and provide Us with a copy of the website advertisement. This section does not cover.

5 What is Covered less than 80% of that described on the website - if You decide to stay at the rental property We will instead pay You 30 per day for the duration of the defect (minimum 48 hours for no utilities) 12. Fraudulent Transactions We will reimburse You for the rental charges You have paid if You are unable to occupy the Rental Property because of the dishonest or fraudulent acts of the Owner or if You have made payment to a person posing as the Owner due to internet fraud. Please note this section only provides cover in the event that You are unable to recover Your losses from anyone else. You should first make a claim with Your credit/ debit card provider etc. Limits of Cover Classic Premium 2,000 per policy 5,000 per policy Key Conditions and Exclusions - Any other defect of any description, including failure or absence of air conditioning units, swimming pools, etc, - Any claim for loss of power or water if these are reinstated within 48 hours - Any booking not made through a HomeAway Group website - The Policy Excess (please see Section 11) This Section only applies if You took out this policy within TEN days of sending Your deposit to the owner/leaseholder You must have received a lease agreement signed by the Owner or their apparent representative and file a criminal complaint regarding the fraud with the appropriate authorities This section does not cover - Any amounts You have paid in cash, cheques made out to cash, or instant money transfers such as Western Union or MoneyGram - Any booking not made through a HomeAway Group website - Reimbursement of travel and fuel costs You incurred to travel to the leased premises - The Policy Excess (please see Section 12) Optional Winter Sports Cover If You are under 65, upon payment of the Winter Sports Premium, You can extend Sections 6 and 10 of Your policy to cover certain specified Winter Sports and activities We will pay up to the amounts shown for the following - Skis, ski equipment lost or damaged during a Trip - Ski passes lost stolen or damaged whilst You are carrying it or it had been left in a locked safety box Please refer to the Table on page 17of the policy wording for full details of the Winter Sports and activities which can be covered under Your policy. You must provide evidence from the Carrier, tour operator or police to support any claim made under these sections of the policy. You must also read these extensions in conjunction with Sections 1-12 and refer back to them where appropriate for full cover details. In addition, payment of the Winter Sports Premium will cover You for: - Hire of replacement ski equipment certified as misplaced for more than 12 hours by Your Carrier on the outward journey of a Trip - Insufficient snow at Your pre-booked resort causing a total closure of the ski lift system for more than 24 consecutive hours (Piste Closure) 15 per day up to a maximum of per day up to a maximum of per day up to a maximum of per day up to a maximum of 200 You must not leave skis Unattended at any time in a place to which the public has access. Piste Closure cover only applies during certain months of the year (Please see Section 16 of the policy wording for more details). This policy does not cover: - Your participation as a professional sportsperson receiving payment for each appearance

6 What is Covered Limits of Cover Classic Premium Key Conditions and Exclusions - Participation in organised events or competitions involving any Special Sports and Activities - The Policy Excess Policy Excess Certain sections of Your policy carry a 100 (Classic) or 50 (Premium) Policy Excess. This means that You will be responsible for paying the first part of the claim up to the excess value per Insured Person, each and every incident, each and every section of cover. This excess is increased to 250 when undertaking voluntary Manual Work. Duration of Cover If You have already booked Your Trip, cancellation and fraudulent transaction cover starts when You pay Your insurance premium (except where You have purchased this policy more than TEN calendar days after You have paid Your deposit to the Owner). Cover for all other sections of Your policy will start from the start date shown on Your Certificate or, if later, when You leave Your usual place of residence or business at the start of Your journey. Cover for any Trip ends on the earliest of: - the end date shown on Your Certificate; or - the date You return to Your usual place of residence or business at the end of Your journey; or - the date when the maximum number of days cover shown in Your policy has been reached. Cooling off Period Unless Your Trip will be completed within one month of buying this insurance, You have the right to cancel Your policy of insurance within 14 days from the date of issue or receipt of Your policy terms and conditions, whichever is the later. We will refund to You any premium You have paid and We will recover from You any payments We have made. 7 HomeAway Group - Premium and Classic Travel Insurance INTRODUCTION TO YOUR POLICY This policy document provides You with the terms, conditions and exclusions of the insurance cover, together with information that will help You in the event of an emergency. The policy contains different levels of cover, some of which do not apply unless You have paid the appropriate additional premium. Conditions and exclusions will apply to individual Sections of Your policy while general exclusions, conditions and notes will apply to the whole of Your policy. Please read this document and Your Certificate very carefully to ensure You understand the extent of the cover and assistance services, exactly what is and is not covered, the conditions of cover, and that this meets Your requirements. If You are unsure whether something is covered or excluded, please contact the company who sold You this Policy. Cooling Off Period: Unless Your Trip will be completed within 1 month of buying this insurance, You have the right to cancel any policy of insurance within 14 days of the date of issue or receipt of the terms and conditions, whichever is later. We will refund to You any premium You have paid and will recover from You any payments We have made. 8 YOUR POLICY Collinson Insurance Services Limited will provide the services and benefits described in this policy: during the Period of Insurance within the Geographical Limits subject to the Limits of Cover, and all other terms, conditions and exclusions contained in this policy to persons who habitually reside in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man (i.e. have their main home in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man and have not spent more than 6 months abroad in the year prior to purchasing the policy) following payment of the appropriate premium for the level of cover selected Benefits under this policy are underwritten by EUROP ASSISTANCE S.A. a French stock corporation with a share capital of 35,402,785 EUR, regulated by the French Insurance Code, having its registered office at 1, promenade de la Bonnette, Gennevilliers, FRANCE, registered in the Register of Commerce and Companies of Nanterre under number Acting through its Irish Branch office (trading as EUROP ASSISTANCE S.A. This policy is effected in England and is subject to the Laws of England and Wales. If You buy the policy more than TEN days after the deposit has been sent to the Owner, You will not benefit from the cancellation cover under Section 5 Cancellation & Curtailment and Fraudulent Transactions cover under Section 12. Cover under all other sections will be unchanged. Emergency Medical Expenses: This policy is NOT a Private Medical Insurance policy, and does not provide cover for procedures that can be carried out in Your country of residence after repatriation or for any medical expenses incurred in private facilities if a medically suitable State facility is available. This policy does not provide cover for private medical expenses when You are hospitalised in a state run hospital or clinic where EU residents have a right to state provided emergency treatment. You must answer all questions about this policy honestly and fully at all times. You must also tell Us straight away if anything that You have already told Us changes by calling Our Travel Helpline on If You do not tell Us, Your policy may be cancelled and any claim You make may not be paid. Health: This policy does not cover Pre-existing Medical Conditions. Cancellation & Curtailment cover: This policy contains restrictions relating to whether You are covered to cancel or curtail a Trip as a result of a change in the health of a non-insured travelling companion, Close Relative or person You plan to stay with whilst on Your Trip. Please refer to the Important Limitations Cancellation & Curtailment Cover section for full details. Special Sports & Activities: This policy specifically excludes participating in or practising for certain sports and activities. Trip Limits: This policy contains strict limits on the length of time You can spend travelling abroad on each Trip. Please refer to the definition of the Trip in the Meanings of Words. IF YOU TRAVEL FOR MORE THAN THE NUMBER OF DAYS FOR WHICH YOU HAVE PAID FOR COVER, YOU WILL NOT BE COVERED AFTER THE LAST DAY FOR WHICH YOU HAVE PAID. Trips must commence and end in Your Home Country and a return ticket must have been booked prior to departure. If You are travelling for a period longer than the period of Your booking, You must enter the full dates of Your Trip to get the benefit of cover for the whole Trip. Medical Emergency: In the event of a medical emergency You must contact Us as soon as possible. You MUST contact Us before incurring expenses in excess of 500, except in case of emergency. If You are physically prevented from contacting Us immediately, You or someone designated by You must contact Us within 48 hours. 9

10 Pregnancy and Childbirth: Cover under this policy is provided for unforeseen events. In particular, cover is provided under Section 2 for unforeseen bodily injury or illness. Pregnancy and Childbirth are not considered to be either an illness or injury. For the avoidance of doubt, please note that cover is ONLY given under Sections 2, 4 and 5 of this policy for claims arising from Complications of Pregnancy and Childbirth. Please make sure You read the definition of Complications of Pregnancy and Childbirth given under the Meaning of Words below. Third Party Liability: If You use any form of mechanically propelled vehicle, (e.g. car, motor cycle, moped or scooter) sail or powered boat, or an airborne craft, no liability cover will apply under this policy and You must ensure that You have cover for third party injury or property damage in place. Personal Possessions: While this policy provides cover for Your Personal Luggage, if You are planning to take expensive items such as sophisticated photographic equipment, jewellery and other Valuables with You then You should check that You have adequate personal possessions cover, under a home contents insurance. The maximum We will pay under this policy for Valuables (as defined) owned by each Insured Person is limited to 200 (or 100 if the Insured Person is aged under 16). Personal Luggage claims are paid based on the original value of the goods less a deduction for wear and tear and loss of value based on the age of the goods at the time that they are lost. Claims are not settled on a new for old basis or replacement cost basis. Payment of any claims in respect of any one article or Pair or Set of articles will be limited to 50 unless satisfactory proof of ownership is submitted. Evidence of replacement value is not sufficient. Policy Limits: Most Sections of Your policy have limits on the amount the Insurer will pay under that Section. Some Sections also include other specific limits. You are advised to check Your policy. Policy Excess: Under most Sections of the policy, claims will be subject to an excess. This means that You will be responsible for paying the first part of the claim up to the excess value per Insured Person each and every incident. A definition of Policy Excess is in the Meaning of Words. Reasonable Care: You need to take all reasonable care to protect yourself and Your property. This means that You should act as if You were not insured. Car Hire & Excursions/Theme Park Tickets: We will not pay for the costs of pre-arranged car hire or of any pre booked excursions, activity entrance fees and tickets or theme park tickets that You are not able to use if You have to cancel, curtail or interrupt Your Trip. IMPORTANT HEALTH REQUIREMENTS You must comply with the following conditions in order to have full protection under this policy. If You do not comply We may cancel the policy, refuse to deal with Your claim or reduce the amount of any claim payment. This insurance operates on the following basis: 1. To be covered, You must be healthy, fit to travel and to undertake Your planned Trip; 2. The insurance will NOT cover You when You are travelling against the advice of a Medical Practitioner (or would be travelling against the advice of a Medical Practitioner had You sought his/her advice); 3. The insurance will NOT cover You when You are travelling with the intention of obtaining medical treatment or consultation abroad; 4. The insurance will NOT cover You if You have any undiagnosed symptoms that require attention or investigation in the future (that is symptoms for which You are awaiting investigations/consultations, or awaiting results of investigations, where the underlying cause has not been established). No claim arising directly or indirectly from a Pre-existing Medical Condition affecting You will be covered. You should also refer to the General Exclusions. Important Limitations Cancellation & Curtailment Cover This policy will NOT cover any claims under Section 5 (Cancellation & Curtailment) arising directly or indirectly from any Pre-existing Medical Condition known to You affecting any: 1) Close Relative who is not travelling as an Insured Person under this policy; 2) or travelling companion who is not insured under this policy; 3) or person with whom You intend to stay whilst on Your Trip. You should also refer to the General Exclusions. 10

11 EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE 24 HOURS A DAY You should first check that the circumstances are covered by Your policy. Having done this please contact the appropriate 24-hour telephone number shown after the appropriate section of cover. Give Your name, insurance details, reference number and as much information as possible. Please give Us a telephone, fax or telex number, or address where We can contact You or leave messages at any time of the day or night. To comply with the terms and conditions of the insurance You must obtain Our prior authorisation before incurring any expenses over 500, except in case of emergency. In case of emergency, if You are physically prevented from contacting Us immediately, You or someone designated by You must contact Us within 48 hours. RECIPROCAL HEALTH AGREEMENTS If You intend travelling to European Union (EU) countries, the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland We would advise You to obtain a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), which will entitle You to certain free or reduced cost health arrangements in the EU, EEA or Switzerland. When You are travelling to Australia and You register for treatment under the national Medicare scheme, Medicare provides UK passport holders with: free treatment as an in-patient or out-patient at a public hospital; subsidised medicines under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme; and benefits for medical treatment provided by doctors through private surgeries and Government Health Centres (not hospitals). You must enrol at Medicare offices in Australia if You will be receiving treatment. If You receive treatment before You enrol, Medicare benefits can be backdated, if You are eligible. To be eligible You must be a resident of the United Kingdom and will need to show Your British passport with an appropriate visa. If You do not enrol at Medicare offices We may reject Your claim or limit the amount We pay to You. If You need treatment which cannot be carried out under Medicare You MUST contact Our 24 hours Emergency Service before seeking private treatment. If You do not do so, We may reject Your claim or limit the amount We pay to You. If You hold an Irish passport You are entitled to free treatment as an in-patient or out-patient at a public hospital, as well as subsidised medicine under the pharmaceutical benefits scheme (PBS) You will need to show Your passport at hospitals and/ or pharmacies. Certificate: The validation page issued in respect of this policy which sets out the names of the Insured Persons, the Geographical Limits, the Period of Insurance and any other special conditions and terms. Close Relative: Spouse or Common Law Partner, parent, parent-in-law, step-parent, legal guardian, children (including legally adopted and step-children, and daughter/son-in-law), sibling (including step-siblings and sister/brother-in-law), grandparent, grandchild, or fiancé(e) of an Insured Person. 11

12 Common Law Partner: The person living with the Insured Person as if husband or wife, including same sex partner, for at least six consecutive months at the commencement of the Period of Insurance. Complications of Pregnancy and Childbirth: For the purposes of this Policy Complications of Pregnancy and Childbirth shall only be deemed to include the following: toxaemia, gestational hypertension, pre-eclampsia, ectopic pregnancy, hydatidiform mole (molar pregnancy), post partum haemorrhage, retained placenta membrane, placental abruption, hyperemesis gravidarum, placenta praevia, stillbirths, miscarriage, medically necessary emergency Caesarean sections/medically necessary termination and any premature births more than 8 weeks (or 16 weeks in the case of a known multiple pregnancy) prior to the expected delivery date. Curtailment: Abandonment of a planned Trip, after commencement of the outward journey, by return to Home earlier than on the scheduled return date. Family: The main Insured Person, his/her spouse or Common Law Partner, and/or their dependent children under 18 years of age (in full-time education and residing with them). Geographical Limits: The countries of the Zone for which You have paid the appropriate premium, except those countries or parts of countries where the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) has advised against travel, as specified on the Certificate. Cover applies door-to-door, so the appropriate benefits (unless stated otherwise) apply within Your country of departure once You commence Your Trip, and during Your return journey to Your Home. You will be covered when travelling by recognised public transport between countries, but not if You are being paid to crew a private motor or sailing vessel or are travelling by private plane. Zone 1: Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark (including Faeroe Islands), Estonia, Finland, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, France (including Corsica), Georgia, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece (including Greek Isles), Guernsey (including Alderney, Sark and Herm), Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy (including Aeolian Islands, Sardinia, Sicily), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway (including Jan Mayen, Svalbard Is), Poland, Portugal (including Azores, Madeira Islands), Romania, Russia (European), San Marino, Serbia/Montenegro (including Kosovo), Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (including Balearic Islands, Canary Islands), Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom (including England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Hebrides, Isle of Wight, Orkney Is, Shetland Is) and Vatican City. Zone 2: All countries worldwide, excluding the United States, Canada, Bermuda, the Caribbean, Hong Kong, Singapore, India and South Africa. Zone 3: All countries worldwide. Home: Your principal place of residence, used for domestic purposes, and including garage(s) and other outbuilding(s). HomeAway: The rental companies Owners Direct, and HomeAway, part of The HomeAway Group, owners of the HomeAway Group Website HomeAway Group Website: One of the following websites and Home Country: Your country of residence (Please note for the purposes of this insurance the UK Area is defined as one country of residence). Insured Person or You/Your: Each person named on the Certificate and for whom the appropriate premium has been paid, and at the commencement of the Period of Insurance being not more than 79 years of age. Limits of Cover: Unless stated otherwise, Our maximum liability in any one Period of Insurance is limited to the amount stated in each Section, per Insured Person. Loss of Limb: Loss by physical severance, or the total and irrecoverable permanent loss of use or function of, an arm at or above the wrist joint, or a leg at or above the ankle joint. Loss of Sight: Total and irrecoverable loss of sight in one or both eye(s); this is considered to have occurred if the degree of sight remaining after correction is 3/60 or less on the Snellen scale. (This means being able to see at 3 feet or less what You should see at 60 feet.) Manual Work: Work involving hands-on involvement with the installation, assembly, maintenance or repair of electrical, mechanical or hydraulic plant, (other than in a purely managerial/supervisory, sales or administrative capacity), or the undertaking of any trade of plumber, electrician, lighting or sound technician, carpenter, painter/decorator or builder, or manual labour of any kind (other than in the catering industry). Cover for Manual Work will be provided where such work is solely in a voluntary capacity, for a charity registered under the Charity Commission in England and Wales, the Scottish Charity regulator or the Department for Social Development in Northern Ireland and where there is no financial gain. In such circumstances, there will be no cover for hands-on involvement with the installation, assembly, maintenance, repair or use of heavy electrical, mechanical or hydraulic plant or machinery, or for working more than 3 meters above the 12

13 ground, and cover for Personal Accident and Personal Liability is excluded. In the event of an injury occurring as a result of voluntary labour, the Policy Excess under Section 2 (Medical Emergency & Repatriation) will be increased to 250. Cover excludes interaction with wild animals of any kind. Medical Condition: Any medical disease, sickness, condition, illness or injury including psychological or mental condition or illness, that has affected You or any Close Relative, travelling companion or person with whom You intend to stay whilst on Your Trip. Medical Practitioner: A legally licensed member of the medical profession, recognised by the law of the country where treatment is provided and who, in rendering such treatment is practising within the scope of his/her licence and training, and who is not related to You or any travelling companion. Money: Sterling and foreign currency and travellers cheques. Owner: The owner or lease holder of the property being rented through the HomeAway Group website. Pair or Set: A number of items of Personal Luggage considered as being similar or complementary to one another or used together. Period of Insurance: The period shown on the Certificate. Cancellation cover starts when You purchase this insurance or when You book Your Trip, whichever is the later. Cover for all other Sections of Your policy will start from the start date shown on Your Certificate or, if later, when You leave Your Home or usual place of business at the start of Your journey. Cover for any Trip ends on the earliest of: the end date shown on Your Certificate; or the date You return to Your usual place of residence or business at the end of Your journey; or the date when the maximum number of days cover shown in Your policy has been reached (maximum 31 days). Note 1: If You travel for more than the number of days for which You have paid for cover, You will not be covered after the last day for which You have paid. Note 2: If You are travelling for a period longer than the period of Your booking, You must enter the full dates and value of Your Trip to get the benefit of cover for the whole Trip. If You only enter the period and/or value of Your booking, You will only have cover for the period of Your booking. Note 3: Legal advice service continues to apply for up to 7 days after You return Home. Permanent Total Disablement: Permanent Total Disablement which, having lasted for a period of at least 12 consecutive months from the date of occurrence will, in the opinion of an independent qualified specialist, entirely prevent You from engaging in, or giving any attention to, any and every business or occupation for the remainder of Your life. Personal Luggage: Items usually carried or worn by travellers for their individual use during a Trip. Note 1: Items hired to You, and all items loaned or entrusted to You are excluded (other than skis and ski equipment where the appropriate Winter Sports premium has been paid). Note 2: This travel insurance is not intended to cover expensive items for which You should take out full Personal Possessions insurance under Your Home Contents policy. Policy Excess: The first amount payable per Insured Person as shown on the Summary of Cover, each and every incident, each and every section of cover, where the Policy Excess applies. Note 1: In the event of an injury occurring as a result of voluntary Manual Work, the Policy Excess under Section 2 (Medical Emergency & Repatriation) will be increased to 250. Pre-existing Medical Condition: 1. Any past or current Medical Condition that has given rise to symptoms or for which any form of treatment or prescribed medication, medical consultation, investigation or follow-up/check-up has been required or received during the 2 years prior to the commencement of cover under this policy and/or prior to any Trip: and 2. any cardiovascular or circulatory condition (e.g. heart condition, hypertension, blood clots, raised cholesterol, stroke, aneurysm) that has occurred at any time prior to the commencement of cover under this policy and/or prior to any Trip. Rental Property: The property that You have leased from an Owner through a HomeAway Group Website and at which You intend to stay during a Trip. Rental Value: The actual amount that You have paid for the Rental Property in pounds sterling. This amount does not include the cost of any flights, fares, fuel or other travel costs, or the cost of meals or excursions booked during a Trip. Secure Luggage Area: Any of the following, as and where appropriate: The locked dashboard, boot or locked luggage compartment of a hatchback vehicle fitted with a lid closing off the luggage area, or of an estate car with a fitted and engaged tray or roller blind cover behind the rear seats. The fixed storage units of a motorised or towed caravan. A locked luggage box, locked to a roof rack which is itself locked to the vehicle roof.
