DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS: Your scholarship will be paid to you at the beginning of each term in equal instalments. It is a Ryerson policy that scholarship funds must flow through your student account. This process ensures that a T4A for income tax purposes is automatically generated. The instalments will be deposited to your student fees account and credited towards any outstanding balances. If there are funds remaining, a refund cheque will be sent to the mailing address on Ryerson s Administrative Management Self Service (RAMSS). Keep your mailing address current. If your cheque goes to an out-dated address, it may take up to two months to re-issue a missing cheque. Your payments will begin in the term that your scholarship was approved to begin. Your instalments will be applied to your student account in the first month of each term (September, January, May), after your term enrolment has been confirmed. At any time, you can check RAMSS to see when an instalment has been transferred into your fees account and when a refund cheque has been issued to you. If you see that a cheque has been issued to you, and a reasonable amount of time has been allowed for the delivery of mail (approximately two weeks), but you have not received the cheque, you should contact the Student Fees Office. You will NOT be charged late fees during these months (September, January, May) if there is no outstanding balance by the end of the month. It is your responsibility to calculate and pay any charges not covered by an award.
