2 Islamic International Medical & Dental College 01 Islamic International Medical & Dental College Medical College Islamic International Medical College (IIMC) is a private sector Medical institute in Pakistan established in It offers five years basic and clinical training leading to the degree of (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery). The college is affiliated with Riphah International University, Islamabad and is recognized by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC) Islamabad. The college imparts quality education and necessary skills with integration of Islamic values and norms. It makes efforts to provide a conducive atmosphere needed for an ethical career and profession. Dental College Islamic International Dental College (IIDC) was established in It offers 4 years degree program BDS (Bachelors of Dental Surgeon). The college is affiliated with Riphah International University Islamabad. The college is accredited with and recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. IIDC has always placed strong emphasis on clinical and teaching excellence. It also stresses on the importance of basic and clinical research and offers opportunities and facilities for training in a variety of disciplines relevant to the biological, material, clinical and epidemiological sciences. In addition to the undergraduate courses, the Faculty offers postgraduate courses within the departments of Orthodontics and Operative dentistry. We have recently launched MDS program in Orthodontics, Oral & Maxillofacial surgery and M. Phil Dental material recognized by HEC and PM & DC also. We plan to start postgraduate courses in all other clinical and basic science specialties. 3 02 Riphah International University Maj Gen (R) Prof. Masood Anwar HI(M); B.Sc. MCPS (Clin Path) FCPS (Path) Maj Gen (R) Prof. Masood Anwar, HI(M); B.Sc. MCPS (Clin Path), FCPS (Path) has served as of Pathology (Hematology) in Armed Forces Institute of Pathology and Army Medical College for 13 years. He established Armed Forces Bone Marrow Transplant Centre with, first in public sector in Pakistan. He is former Commandant Armed Forces Bone Marrow Transplant Centre, Commandant Armed Forces Institute of Pathology and Principal of Army Medical College. He has also been Executive Director of National Institute of Health. He has been conferred Fellowship of Pakistan Academy of Medical Sciences and College of Pathologists Pakistan. Currently he is President Pakistan Association of Pathologists and Vice President Pakistan Thalassemia Welfare Association. He is also member of Council of College of Pathologists Pakistan. He has more than 20 years experience of teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. He has more than 200 research publications to his credit and has contributed in several books. Prof. Dr. Ulfat Bashir received his BDS degree in 1994 from de Montmorency college of Dentistry, Lahore. Later he did MCPS (Orthodontics) in 2000 and their after completed his FCPS Orthodontics) in 2002 from College of Physicians & Surgeons Karachi, Pakistan. He has vast experience in the field of Hospital and Institutions. He is also in visiting faculty at Ras ul Khaima College of Dental Sciences. He is author of many national and international publications. He is the member of different professional and social societies and has attended many national and international conferences. 4 Islamic International Medical & Dental College 03 Islamic International Medical & Dental College Eligibility Criteria Priority 1 Any other examination of a foreign university or examining body which in scope and standard is found equivalent to the intermediate Science (F. Sc.) Examination (Pre-Medical Group) of a Pakistani university or Board of Secondary Education. An equivalent certificate from the Inter-Board Chairman Committee (IBCC) will be required along with the admission Form. However, equivalent certificates of such applicants will not be accepted who have not studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in 11th and 12th Grade. OR Priority 2 1. The candidate should have passed a higher Examination of a Pakistani University with Biological Sciences provided he / she has passed The Intermediate Science (F.Sc.) Examination, (Medical Group) securing at lest 60% marks in aggregate (unadjusted), from a Pakistani University or an equivalent examination of a Board of Secondary Education in Pakistan. 2. Entry test: If no centralized entry test for admission to medical and dental colleges is arranged by Federal Government or any agency nominated by the Federal Government, then the College will arrange its own entry test. Pakistani nationals living abroad who have passed F. Sc or equivalent examination from a University or examining body are also eligible to sit in the entry test. Alternatively they must have a minimum score of 550 on a SAT II exam. If the medium of instruction in the foreign country is other than English, then in addition to SAT II they should have a TOEFL score of at least 500 or IELTS score not less than 5.5. Those who take the entry test will also be eligible for admission on ordinary seats. Others will only be eligible for admission on foreign sponsored seats. Foreign nationals are also eligible for admission on foreign sponsored seats, subject to merit determined by the college, based on F. Sc or an equivalent examination, or SAT, TOEFL and/or IELTS scores. Islamic International Medical College and IIMC Pakistan Railway Hospital are recognized for Fellowship training in following subjects: Physiology Medicine Surgery Pediatrics Gynecology and Obstetrics Anesthesia Eligibility Criteria 1. or equivalent as recognized by PM&DC. 2. Fully registered with PM&DC 3. Must have passed FCPS part I examination in relevant speciality. 4. Must satisfy Selection Board of the IIMC for Postgraduate studies/training M. PHIL (Master of Philosophy): IIMC is approved by Riphah International University and Recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council to Conduct following M. Phil courses: M. Phil Anatomy M. Minimum MCPS or DA in Anesthesia with three years experience. Anesthesiologists running Pain Clinics in Government Hospitals will be given preference. M.Sc. Pain Medicine Eligibility Criteria All Health Professionals with minimum basic qualification:, BDS, DPT, D Pharm and B.Sc Nursing. Selection will be on candidate portfolio and interview. Diploma In Anesthesiology (D.A) Eligibility Criteria or equivalent degree from a Recognized college. One year house job in recognized institution Or Practical experience of working in Anesthesia department of a teaching hospital, as medical officer for not less than one year, in lieu of above. Pre-PO training in Anesthesiology, at the department of RIU, or affiliated medical colleges, for a period of one year. Registration for DA under RIU. Valid registration with Pakistan Medical & Dental Council. Note: Candidate who had completed two years training in Anesthesia in a recognized institute can sit in DA final examination.

Nine batches of IIDC have already graduated and are registered with PM & DC It is recognized for training by the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan for FCPS Part-Il in Orthodontics and Operative Dentistry IIDC is listed in WHO directory of accredited medical schools & universities Eligibility The candidate should have passed the intermediate science (FSc) examination (medical group) securing at least 60% marks in aggregate, unadjusted, from a Pakistani university or an equivalent examination of a board of secondary education in Pakistan. Or Any other examination of a foreign university or examining body (A levels etc.) which in scope and standard is found equivalent to the intermediate science F.Sc (Pre Medical Group) examination (medical group) of a Pakistani university or board of secondary education. Such candidates will have to furnish, along with their application, an equivalence certificate from the inter-board chairman of committee (IBCC). However, equivalence certificates of such applicants will not be accepted who have not studied physics, chemistry, biology and English in 11th and 12th grade. 7 06 Riphah International University Post Graduate Programs M. Phil Dental Material The program M. Phil Dental Material equips students with an understanding of the fundamentals and mechanisms governing the behavior of dental materials used in daily practice. MDS Orthodontics The orthodontic postgraduate program at the Riphah International University provides a combined clinical experience in orthodontics and a critical thinking and research experience. Duration 2 years Credit Hours: 32 (M.Phil Dental Material) Credit Hours: 106 (MDS Orthodontics) Admission Criteria BDS degree or its equivalent in the relevant discipline from PM & DC & HEC recognized University or Institution. Periodontology This discipline deals with diseases of the gums. It is one of the first clinical subjects the undergraduate encounters in the dental course. Pediatric Dentistry Pediatric Dentistry teaches the prevention, diagnosis and management of dental conditions in the young. Community Dentistry Community dentistry also called Dental Public Health aims to educate students on the etiology, history and epidemiology of common dental diseases in order to prevent and control them. Oral Medicine Independent department of oral medicine was established in January Patients with facial pain, mucosal lesions and other oral medicine related disorders are treated here by specialists. Class Timings 8:00 am to 2:00 pm (Monday to Saturday) Affiliated Hospitals (IIDH) & Departments Prosthodontics Prosthodontics restores oral structures through the use of crowns, bridges, dentures and implants. The undergraduate prosthodontic program stretches over three years.

Students violating the dress code will be fined, marked absent and may even be referred to the Proctorial Board for more severe punishment. SUMMER Male: White shirt with full sleeves and collar with front pocket Steel grey dress pant Maroon neck tie Black shoes (Oxford) Black socks Female: White band collar qamees with full sleeves no slits. Qamees length should extend 2 inches below the knees. Black closed shoes Black socks Maroon scarf of specified size to fully cover the head, neck and body Swan white shalwar In addition to this, girls can wear Abaya that may be white/black. Maroon band collar qamees from 3rd Year onwards. Note: The head scarf is mandatory for female students and it should cover their head, hair, neck and figure properly. Female students should wear full sleeve shirts without slits in sleeves Any color, other than the color prescribed for qamees, scarf, shirts, trousers, tie, footwear socks etc. is not allowed. Tight fitting, V-neck, fancy or trendy shalwars, embroidery or any other orna mental work is strictly forbidden. Baggy pants, jeans, jackets and joggers are not allowed. WINTER Both male and female students should wear maroon sweater and /or maroon single breast blazer White Coat: Both male and female should wear white coat. It should be: Stitched loosely 2 inches extended below the knee Three buttons, two side pockets and one chest pocket on the left.
