Exadel Mobile Solutions provided the Company with a mobile solution that enables their customers to quickly and efficiently manage their supply chain using mobile technology. As a result, the Company has achieved its goals of reducing development costs and time to market, while increasing customer satisfaction. The Company realized its customers were leveraging mobile technology to manage suppliers, so they needed to extend features and functionality of the current web application to their users mobile devices. A key requirement was providing access to critical key indicators and alerts displayed on mobile devices. The mobile application would need to provide a subset of critical data in a read-only mode and would be the primary source for detailed data browsing and in-depth analysis. The Company selected Exadel to develop an integrated web platform to enable its customers to manage their suppliers using mobile technology. Exadel s mobile application was selected because our mobile web technology (as opposed to native mobile technology) is externally facing, can be accessed by 10,000+ users, and can support the complexity associated with developing and supporting native applications for the myriad of mobile devices in use. Exadel s mobile web architecture allowed the Company to leverage their server-side logic, which improved time-to-market and reduced development costs. 2 The Details The Exadel Mobile Platform provides an integrated, web platform for the Company s customers to manage their suppliers. Features include: A single source for tracking suppliers (interface to multiple existing sources) Supplier certification Financial monitoring Government Control List monitoring Support for Multiple fulfillment options UI, FTP, and Web Services The solution includes a new customer portal for customers, providing rich Folder Management capabilities, integrated with a Supplier Portal, BPMS for GCL data and ESB for live reports. In addition, it manages a customized supplier questionnaire by providing customers with the ability to generate supplier-specific questionnaires and administer them seamlessly. The Company partnered with Exadel Mobile Solutions to develop an interactive dashboard application, known as Mobile Morning Reports, providing IT management with the current status of all IT processes, centers, and batch jobs, while proactively monitoring SLAs all via mobile devices. As the Company s employees became increasingly mobile, working without access to their computer, the Company needed to provide their IT teams with real-time IT status updates via mobile devices. Exadel created Mobile Morning Reports, a web-based native iphone application providing a rich, graphical display of SLAs in a geographic, color coded view, enabling the user to drill down on an alert and identify the SLA in jeopardy, along with the critical root cause, enabling them to take actions to mitigate the risks associated with missed SLAs. Since the web widget uses "native" web technologies it can be used as a part of a standalone application for iphone/android or any other mobile platform as well as a part of any web site. Because it is highly customizable, Exadel s web widget supports various use cases, e.g., browsing a product catalog, searching with different kinds of filters, providing store locations, and reserving products. Exadel s web widget has the same look and feel of a native iphone application, and the design can be easily styled to support any design you want. The Company was able to get their offering out to the market in 35% less time using Exadel s Professional Services. This allowed the Company to capture revenue sooner than anticipated.
