What s working: General recognition of the value of digital health International standards (i.e. XDS) have appeal and garner corporate investment Growing consensus of the need to expand digital health definition What needs focus/improvement: Digital health is not finished Interoperability is essential and needs funding Clinical process transformation is critical to success Cloud platforms should be designed to enable not restrict interoperability New clinical systems do not fix interoperability they expose the crucial need for it Patient centric solutions only work with interoperability across traditional silos Consumers will simply expect (and demand) interoperability Interoperability a key next step in the digital health journey Foundation for value: mobility, analytics, cognitive computing
