30 CareLine CareLine is an important safeguard for anyone who may be home alone, even for part of the day. At the press of a small, lightweight, waterproof button, your home communicator unit places a call to the Lifeline Monitoring Center. A Lifeline monitor speaks to you through the two-way voice communicator and quickly contacts appropriate help to get you the assistance you need. This may be a friend, neighbor, or relative you have designated, or the police, ambulance, or fire department. The Lifeline system is rented on a month-tomonth basis and is installed in your home by a trained installer. The equipment rental, maintenance, and 24 hour per day monitoring, costs $31.00 per month for our basic unit, with a one time $25 installation fee. There is no additional fee from the telephone company for adding this service to your phone and there is no limit on the number of times the service can be used, in fact, frequent check-in calls are encouraged.
