6 The owners The school is a non profit organization based on a service contract with the Ministry of Education. The formal owners of the school are: The Federation of Icelandic Fishing Vessel Owners Federation of Icelandic Industries Icelandic Energy and Utilities Federation of Icelandic Vessel Owners The Club for Craftman s Skillst Trade
7 Students and staff To day there are 2237 students enrolled in the school s various programs 1722 students in the day programs 295 students in distance / hybrid courses 220 students in advanced courses of study. Primarily in a program that leads to the master tradesman certificate. The staff is close to 210 people, some of them working part time. Teachers are 184.
