Axiodis is a completely parametrizable system that allows various set of functionalities according to the nature and complexity of the logistic issue: ROUTING OPTIMIZATION SOFTWARE FOR DISTRIBUTION AND COLLECTING AXIODIS software is a helpful tool used for planning and optimization of transport routes, conceived, realized and distributed by the OPTILOGISTIC firm (AXIODIS is a trademark registered by OPTILOGISTIC SA). Our Goals: Increase service level. Dynamic planning for distribution and delivery on a daily/weekly basis. Design the distribution network and redimensionate your fleet. Simulate logistic and investment scenarios. Strategic planning and scenario evaluation. Locate and dimension facilities. Manage performance indicators. Resource and budget planning. Reduce logistics costs. Optimize assets utilizations. Our Value Proposition "Lower costs, times, kilometers, hours of work and vehicles through a planning solution that optimizes the use of logistic resources."
The Logistics Sites In AXIODIS, any point of loading, delivery, departure, distribution center, factory, place of collection, or return of the vehicle is designated a "logistic site". Each logistic site is characterized by a number of attributes: Its geographic position Its access constraints Its parameters Its schedules The Products AXIODIS enables, with the help of the product entity, to take into account the nature of the transported goods and their constraints. Products are defined by: Units of volume and weight Stacking and loading restrictions Incompatibility between products Each product s transport requirements AXIODIS is the only transport planning system that calculates routes taking into account the 3D volumetric charge. Cartographic relocating of logistic sites with the help of GEOM. Load optimization Module AXIOPACK The Transport Operations In AXIODIS, a transport operation to plan is defined by: Description of logistic sites schedule`s constraints. Access Limits To Logistic Sites. Limit of the total weight loaded: stated for each site having such a constraint by a limited value in Kg. To each step of the routing, this limit is compared to the sum of the payload and the empty weight of the vehicles.. Gage limit: stated for each site and each vehicle, by a value estimated between 0 and 99 (the user can define himself the gage scale of hidden vehicles). A vehicle can only access a site if its gage is inferior to a gage limit of the site. A logistic site for loading (a WAREHOUSE for a delivery, a SITE for collecting) A logistic site for delivery (a WAREHOUSE for the collecting, a SITE for a delivery ) A product A quantity and a load in Kg/Lts/Oz. Delivery and collecting data (the earliest and latest) Additional constraints and priorities.
AXIODIS manages in the same time two categories of transport operations: - Deliveries - Collections AXIODIS estimates delivery, collecting, and cross docking operations simultaneously. The Transport Means In AXIODIS, the transport means are defined by: First, the characteristics of each vehicles: - Payload - Weight empty - Gage, - Capacity of the selected unit (Volume, number of pallets, lts, m3, etc.) - Load compartments (capacity and characteristics of each division). Loading Limits On Vehicles. Length limits: for each transport operation, we can obtain a length indication, according to the length of the longest product of the order. A vehicle can take in charge a transport operation which length exceeds the load length admitted by the vehicle.. Weight loading: each vehicle is characterized by a weight loaded in Kg.. Loading in reference units: It is the unit selected by the user for managing the product quantities to deliver. Each vehicle is characterized by a capacity it can carry in this parametrable reference unit.. Division of a vehicle: the loading of the vehicle is at any time compatible with its compartmenting, in order to avoid the mix of the products and the different orders in a same division. The different division utilization, following the activity sectors (oil industry, agro- alimentary industry, bi- temperature transports...) are parametrizable. The availability of the vehicles by work stations: - Place of departure and arrival of the truck (They can be different). - Dates and time of the beginning activity, the earliest. - Dates and time of the ending activity, the latest. - Maximum duration of working and driving. - The elements characterizing the cost of vehicles. Characteristics Required. They are defined by the user (16 values maximum) and characterized; first, the transport operations and secondly, the vehicles or products transported. A vehicle can take a transport operation in charge if this one has each of the characteristics required by this transport operation. These characteristics are used in general to manage the equipment constraints on vehicles. Time Constraint And Durations. They are expressed by the TIME SLOT The workstations of the vehicles are also characterized by a set of hour s constraints.. Days and hours of departure (the earliest). Days and hours of arrival (the latest) Including 2 maximal duration. Duration maximal of work. Duration maximal of driving
Forced Affectation Constraints They deal with the delivery sites of transport operations; there are two cases:. Obligation of route beginning. Obligation of route ending The Multi-Tours Aspect In the beginning of the workstation, the vehicles are located at the departure site and must be at their arrival site at the end of the period. During the available periods, the vehicles can reload on a site named warehouse in order to make new routings, in the limit of the maximum number of routings indicated by the user. This system enables to implement routings named translation. The Multi Warehouses Aspect For each transport operation, 3 cases are taken into account:. COMPULSORY WAREHOUSE: the transport operations (delivery and collecting) are compulsorily made from a warehouse indicated.. EVERY WAREHOUSE IS POSSIBLE: the transport operations can be planed from any logistic site and the AXIODIS software selects the optimal site during the optimization process. vehicles. In theory, every constraint can be managed. But in practice, the experience shows that the complexity of the parametrage increases more than proportionally with an increasing number of the constraints taken into account as penalized. In the case of AXIODIS, the hours and duration constraints are taken into account as penalized, like other constraints taken separately. Digitalized Cartography In a routing optimization system, the main features of its geographical information module are: - Calculation of times, distances and routes. - Site Positioning with GPS. - Site Positioning by address or city. - Search for addresses and sites. - Roads and trails editing: name, numbers, zip code, direction of traffic and allowed turns. - Creation of new roads and routes. - Blocking of prohibited areas and transit routes - Speed adjustments. AXIODIS is a opened system which enables the using of cartographic data of plural origin (I.G.N., MICHELIN, AND MAPPING, etc.). Moreover, the GEOM software, conceived and distributed by OPTILOGISTIC SA, enables users to install, if needed, their own cartographic data (locating of delivery and locating sites, creation of access road sections, etc).. FEW WAREHOUSES ARE POSSIBLE: the AXIODIS software selects the optimal site only from the possible warehouses. For sites such as warehouses, a fixed TEXT and a PRORTIONAL term take the cost of approach and transit transports into account to the quantity that takes transit through the site. Routing Freeze During the automatic calculation process of the optimal routings, the user can freeze some routes; it will enable to keep these routes as they were even if some works were made before: addition or withdrawal of collecting operation. The Respect of Dosing By Penalties Constraints Most of the routing optimization softwares only enable a strict respect of the hours and duration constraints; AXIODIS software uses a specific technology which enables the user to guide and to dose the level of constraint respect in function of the sites, of the transport operations or vehicles. This approach generates better results suggesting solutions less expensive in kilometers or in the number of vehicles used. The Automatic Calculation of the optimal routings The AXIODIS calculation engine optimizes transport routes to reduce costs, mileage, hours of work and number of vehicles taking into account business rules and the operative constraints of the company. This way of routing construction enables to seek a rapprochement of the dispatcher s behavior during the manual construction of routings and enables to guide the research of optimal solutions in parting the work charge to
Routes Maps The graphic visualization and the interactive routing management The routing programs developed by the automatic calculation unit can be seen graphically. The user has the possibility to act on the routing directly on the screen. The main possible actions are: Rural Maps Interactive manipulation of transport operations by drag'n'drop. Detailed transport operations of every route. Summary of every route. Route summary with management indicators. Unscheduled operations visualization. Insertion of unscheduled operations in routing. Display every vehicle activity. Routing for every logistic site. Changing the affectation of routing vehicles. Validating or blocking routes. Time and distance calculation. Manually route creation Urban Maps
Gantt graphics of every vehicle activity: Variations Of Driving Speeds In Function Of The Geographic Areas And Traffic Hours The driving duration between the logistic sites can be dependent, first from their respective location and secondly from the day period the driving is being made. In AXIODIS, during the routing calculation, the speed parameters can be balanced in function of the GEOGRAFIC AREAS and in function of the TIME PERIODS, for each area defined. Advanced Options Transport routes calculation by its visit frequency. Automatic reconstruction of existing routes. Maximum cost reduction solutions by minimizing the amount of modifications in the current operation. Route calculation by vehicles and trailers separately. Importation and Exportation of data AXIODIS counts with a data exchange module and report generator. Specific processes of integration with ERP systems as SAP, PEOPLESOFT and ORACLE can be made. Sectorizations - Areas Axiodis allows you to paint distribution areas in a graphic form to define the range of the vehicles. Vehicles with fixed and variable compartments. Delivery priorities by products and/or by customers. Product Declassification. Drivers Management. Strategic Allocation Module Define influence zones of each distribution center. Design supply and distribution network. Capacity for each product and each distribution center service. Transportation costs of each distribution center. Allocation Costs of delivery orders for each distribution center.
GPS Integration. AXIODIS counts with a module for importing GPS data to monitor and detect diversions from planned routes. This module is easily integrated with any service provider of vehicle location. PDA Integration AXIODIS can record and monitor activities on PDA routes to ensure planned and actual customer service level. All information collected is consolidated into a database to settle freight, control the operation, obtain performance indicators or to be published on the Internet for customers to consult.
