DAAD - Alumni - Project Managing Biodiversity Dear conference participants! On behalf of the DAAD we would like to welcome you to our special project. Many academics from developing countries have gained a high level of expertise during their studies in Germany. They need platforms and informative meetings with representatives from science, politics and economics in order to establish networks and initiate projects. That s why networking with Alumni from developing countries has a special meaning for German universities. Since 2004, the DAAD has been inviting experts from developing countries to Germany to enable them to attend meetings and events in special areas. This gives the experts the opportunity to establish networks and learn about the latest research results. The topics for these meetings focus on the Millennium Development Goals which were enacted by the United Nations in 2000. We hope this conference will give you the chance to exchange experiences and establish new co-operations. This brochure provides some helpful information for the following days. We wish you a pleasant stay in Bonn. Cay Etzold Head of the Section 434 Higher Education Cooperation Projects
