Dial-up access is a form of Internet access through which the client uses a modem connected to a computer and a telephone line to The service is available on telephone lines that have access to an IP network that can effectively packetise and transmit voice packets over the internet. One advantage of VoIP is that the service reduces the cost of communication between offices (in case of a large organization) and reduces the charges incurred if making international calls.
