Trade Example A High /Low Binary Option allows you to take a view on whether a currency pair will end up higher or lower than a specific price you have chosen. Example Will EUR/USD close Higher or Lower than the current price? If the option expires in approximately 7 minutes and the current price is 1.39336 you simply need to decide if the price will end up Higher or Lower. Enter the amount you want to trade (e.g. $10). Chose High or Low and the click Purchase. Directly above you can see the Payout Ratio. You have bought $10 High EURUSD, and the payout ratio is 80%. If your trade expires In The Money, you will receive $18 (10 + 10 x 0.8). If you trade expires Out Of The Money you will lose your $10. If your trade expires At the Money you will receive your $10 back. 13
Manually Closing a Trade You can manually close a trade before the expiry time. Manual Close when in Profit or Loss You anticipate EUR/USD will go up from 1.39336 and choose HIGH. However, bad news comes out and the price falls to 1.39322. In such a case as above, it may be more advantageous to manually close the position* (available until 3 minutes prior to expiration). When you close the position, you will receive an amount equal to the Trade Amount x Payout Ratio in your Open Positions Panel. *You can manually close a position until 3 minutes prior to the expiry time. Note: With a manual close payout, the Payout Ratio calculation is based on Hirose's assessment of a number of factors including time to expiry, the current value of the currency pair and our expectation of future volatility. Please be advised to check the payout ratio before you manually close your trades. Also, there may be situations where the payout amount is 0 even when you have closed your trades in profit. 14
