Code Accounting 0320 Accounting Clerk: Performs a variety of routine and some nonroutine clerical/accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable or related financial area. Reconciles bank accounts, posts information and balances general or subsidiary ledgers, processes payments and compiles segments of monthly closings, annual reports, etc. Contacts other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems. See Level Guide SUPP3. 0370 Bookkeeper: Maintains a complete and systematic set of records of business transactions. Balances general or subsidiary ledgers and prepares reports to show receipts, expenditures, accounts receivable and payable, and various other items pertinent to the operation of a business. 0435 Billing Clerk: Compiles data and prepares invoices and bills of lading. Compiles amounts due from records such as purchase orders, sales tickets and charge slips. Prepares invoices, listing items sold, amounts due, credit terms and date of shipment. Operates a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent. Fulfills requests for forms according to required quantity, packaging and delivery instructions. Creates and updates forms, using computer design software, and orders forms to be printed. Prepares and distributes retention schedules. 2220 Clerk - Typist: Performs routine but varied clerical work in conjunction with typing duties, such as some or all of the following: types and files reports, business correspondence, forms, and other documents; posts information to records; sorts and distributes mail; and answers telephones. 2230 Statistical Clerk: Compiles and verifies data for the production of regular and special statistical reports from various sources. Utilizes a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent. 6100 Inventory Control Clerk: Maintains records of materials in inventory and on order. Provides information to determine status of current orders and to forecast needs for future orders. Compiles records of amount, type, and value of material or stock on hand. Monitors reorder points, and initiates action to replenish stock. Reconciles discrepancies in inventories. Notifies supervisor of irregularities and when stock reaches designated reorder point. Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of inventories and computes inventory balances, prices and costs. Operates a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent. See Level Guide SUPP3. 6400 Import/Export Clerk: Computes duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight and volume of merchandise that is imported or exported to foreign countries. Examines invoices, bills of lading and shipping statements. Verifies conversion of merchandise weights or volumes based on country's method of weight and measure. Converts foreign currency into U.S. equivalent using rate charts. Corresponds with foreign organizations on routine matters. Operates a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent.

Code Human Resources 1467 Human Resources Receptionist: Greets all visitors to the Human Resources department and directs them to the appropriate location of the NEW office. Answers and directs all incoming calls. Handles the distribution of mail and facsimiles. Schedules meetings and interviews; reserves conference rooms. May assist with pre-screening, testing, reference checking and new hire orientation. May prepare offer and/or regret letters and order office supplies. Responsible for projects as assigned and general receptionist duties. 1000 Employee Benefits Claim Clerk: Checks the accuracy and completion of routine and complex employee claim forms, and processes them under the organization's various benefit plans, including but not limited to group insurance, basic and major medical coverage and other benefits. Maintains employee benefits records and prepares required reports. Counsels employees regarding benefit eligibility and coverage. Transmits or arranges for correct claim benefit checks to employees. May conduct orientation programs on benefits. Operates a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent. Reviews source documents for accuracy and completion of data input, and verifies output. Generates and distributes a variety of reports and statistical summaries regarding employee skills, pay data and related information. May develop queries and generate more reports for authorized personnel. See Level Guide SUPP3. 1455 Personnel Records Clerk: Compiles, files, and maintains personnel records. Records a variety of employee data (e.g., name, address, date and reason for personnel action and changes in employee status, earnings, absences). Files employment records according to filing system used. Documents movement of files; traces missing files. Searches, locates, and removes material from file or furnishes information to authorized individuals. 3077 Training Assistant: Provides clerical/administrative support to the training and development function. Schedules, coordinates and maintains master schedule of training programs, courses, and the use of equipment, space and facilities. May resolve routine scheduling conflicts. Distributes course catalogs, processes registration, and answers routine inquiries regarding courses and schedules. Arranges for outside services, such as audio visual assistance, meals and refreshments, housekeeping, maintenance or repairs. Assembles and distributes course materials and teaching aides, as required for each type of program. May operate audio visual services during training programs. Prepares appropriate forms, correspondence, memoranda, and records regarding course attendance, feedback on programs, instructors, etc. Prepares reports and statistical summaries. Maintains and may reorder training material, teaching aides and information on outside programs. Operates a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent. Generally incumbents in this position are experienced in related functions such as word processing but have little or no direct experience in documentation. 1725 Information Systems Help Desk Coordinator: Applies understanding and knowledge of information systems products and services to assist internal users. Identifies, investigates and researches user questions and problems as well as recognizing, researching, isolating and resolving information systems problems. Coordinates referrals to appropriate technical, professional or service personnel for appropriate services, repairs, training, and follow-up. See Level Guide SUPP3. 1750 Computer Operator: Operates and monitors computer and peripheral equipment, such as printers, tape and disk drives. Selects and loads input and output, observes operation of equipment, control panels, error lights, verification printouts, error messages and faulty output. Researches error messages and may manipulate console to resequence job steps after a job is interrupted. See Level Guide SUPP3. 1755 Systems Support Assistant: Under direct supervision, performs tasks of a general nature to aid in the ongoing support of various systems environments. Performs LAN/hard disk back-ups, formats disks, provides printer support and may replace toner cartridges, clear paper jams and load paper. Maintains adequate supplies. Assists with end-user questions and problems. Conducts research on new technology as requested. Typically reports to Systems Administrator or LAN Administrator. 1770 Data Entry Operator: Operates a data entry device to key and/or verify a variety of standard and/or complex coded or uncoded business and statistical source data into a computer. Checks accuracy and relevance of input and output data by visual examination, correcting codes and batching for computer processing. Verifies output against control totals, reviews format and accuracy of printouts and distributes information to appropriate departments. 1797 Information Systems Librarian: Performs duties relating to maintaining data processing media inventory to meet department and user needs. Complies with the disaster recovery plan. Maintains the library of technical references and ensures reference manuals are kept up-to-date. Repairs, cleans and replaces media types as necessary.

Code Telecommunications 1912 Telecommunications Installation Clerk: Handles and compares the work orders completed by installers and/or contractors to the work orders NEW in the billing system and makes corrections as necessary. Provides a wide variety of clerical support to the installation staff including but not limited to photocopying; compiling records; locating and retrieving documents; filing completed work orders, converter forms and tracking sheets; and distributing mail. May answer and route departmental calls and perform back up for dispatchers. Tracks documents and completes or re-assigns trouble tickets and work orders as required. Legal 2480 Legal Secretary: Performs secretarial duties that require knowledge of legal procedures and terminology. Prepares papers and correspondence such as contracts, briefs, summonses, complaints and motions. May maintain files and calendars, schedule appointments, schedule meetings, and make travel arrangements. Operates a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent. 2033 Contracts Clerk: Provides a wide variety of clerical support to the contracts staff including photocopying, compiling records, locating and retrieving documents, maintaining files, and distributing mail. Prepares contracts, leases, memoranda and other legal documents using standard templates. May assist with the tabulation and preparation of estimates. 3461 Legal Assistant: Provides assistance as required by the legal staff. This includes administrative duties such as photocopying, compiling records, locating and retrieving documents, maintaining files, and distributing mail. May prepare general correspondence, other legal documents, memoranda, reports, presentations, make travel arrangements, etc. Office Services 2080 Photocopy Machine Operator: Operates a photocopy machine to complete assignments ranging from the production of single color forms, reading material and other documents to those requiring the merge of covers, text, indices and related items in single or multi-color. May perform all phases of equipment set-up, operation and routine maintenance. Maintains equipment and supplies. See Level Guide SUPP2. 2245 Office Services Assistant: Provides general facilities administration support which may include responding to calls for facility repair, the purchase of office supplies including stationery, business cards, name plates, handling special mail requests, printing services, petty cash account and facility security functions. May assist with fixed asset inventories. See Level Guide SUPP2. 2247 Micrographics (Imaging) Operator: Images/microfilms company records to ensure that company history is archived and that vital records are protected. Ensures the imaging process meets quality control standards. Retrieves documents as requested and maintains appropriate records. 7250 Administrative Assistant: Provides a wide variety of administrative and staff support services to an organizational unit. May assist in budget preparation and control activities. May assist in the preparation and control of records, statistics, and reports regarding operations, personnel changes, etc. Administers programs, projects, and/or processes specific to the operating unit served. May serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, personnel, facilities and operations. May screen and interview job applicants and orient new employees. NOTE: This is not a secretarial position. See Level Guide SUPP2. 2285 Library Assistant: Provides assistance as required by library services to meet the informational, educational, and research-related needs of patrons. May check materials in and out; shelve and retrieve materials; as well as assist with the classification, cataloging and indexing of books, periodicals, and related materials. 7255 Proofreader: Proofreads documents and marks for correction grammatical, mathematical, typographical, and compositional errors adhering to formatting standards and guidelines. May offer suggestions regarding structural changes and the redesign of documents to improve readability. 2250 Receptionist: Greets, identifies and directs visitors. Arranges for escort as appropriate. Maintains visitor records and performs incidental typing and clerical work as assigned. 2320 Supply/Stock Clerk: Locates stock and delivers requested items to authorized departments. Reviews order forms for proper coding, quantities requested, and authorized approvals. Ensures that deliveries are made to proper departments. Maintains established inventory levels by checking shelves and notifies supervisor at established reorder points, or prepares purchase orders. Stocks vendor deliveries in warehouse or supply room and checks that deliveries conform to purchase orders as to quantity and quality. Reports on spoilage and stock damage. Marks articles with identification codes. Contacts approved vendors to reorder supplies. May operate a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent. Distributes and collects mail, determines and affixes postage and maintains records on postage, registered mail and packages. Travels by foot, bicycle, motorcycle, automobile or public transportation. Maintains a log of items picked up and delivered. 2350 Chauffeur - Executive: Drives a company vehicle to transport top level executives, other personnel and visitors. May plan itineraries and make overnight or extended trips requiring irregular hours. Oversees the appearance, operation, maintenance and servicing of the vehicle, and makes minor repairs and adjustments.
