RPV - RP - RA air handling units Reznor offers a century of experience in warm air heating solutions and a continuous focus on innovation and quality. Reznor has designed and manufactured air handling units since 1970, complementing its range of indirect gas-fired unit heaters and many other product lines. Air handling units for various applications Our central air handling units are suited for a wide variety of applications, such as: Factories Warehouses Concert & exposition halls Distribution centres Commercial premises Places of worship Restaurants Sports & leisure Our units are suitable for outdoor and indoor installations. Make-up air We can offer make-up air units where heated fresh air replaces exhaust air and in other applications where indoor air needs to be recirculated during the day to save energy. Air handling units ready to use Reznor air handling units are shipped on their own base frame in one single piece. The units are fully wired according to your requirements and ready to receive electrical power and control input. Rigid frame All of our units do not need any assembly on site, their base frames are designed for all static and dynamic loads during shipping and operation. Customized control We adapt a unit to your control requirements. Our product engineers assist you towards a perfect solution. Final test Each of our air handling units is submitted to our stringent test procedure at the end of the production line. This assures quality and correct operation of each component. RPV - RP - RA air handling units Dampers At the intake of return air or fresh air, dampers are mounted according to the requirement of the project. Dampers can be fitted with 24 V or 230 V servomotors, wired to the central electrical cabinet. Damper motors can be modulating or on/off and can contains spring return or end switches for extended air control. Indirect gas fired heating We have implemented a century of knowhow into the development of dedicated indirect gas-fired heat exchangers specifically for use in air handler units. Features: temperature range from 20-55 C state of the art burners with low CO and NOx emissions efficiency at 91% option to stage burner firing or modulation Heat exchangers are always in high quality stainless steel of type AISI409 and can be manufactured in anti-corrosion grade 316 (RA & RPV only) for very aggressive atmospheres. Direct gas fired heating In 100% make-up air applications, where fresh air needs to continually replace extracted air, a direct fired burner can be used in air handling units. In such applications, the air handling unit is part of the ventilation system, and the direct fired burner makes sure that fresh air is maintained at temperature.
Lightweight construction The use of double-walled panels in precoated aluminium RAL 7035 results in relatively light units which require lighter roof construction or supporting frames. Made-to-measure Our units are designed using the latest 3D CAD software, resulting in high quality production drawings, adapted for our own production facility. Outlet and inlet options Inlet or outlets can be positioned at the request of the customer. We can provide double inlet sections with combinations of top, bottom, back and side inlets. For supply air, the outlet can be positioned directly on the bottom, on the top, on the side or at the front of the unit. Filtration Our units can be fitted with filters for different types of applications, including panel and bag filters for filtration grades ranging from G3 to F9. Optionally, pressure switches can be added for dirty filter indication. Water coils & Direct expansion cooling In case of presence of a source of hot water or cold water (from process our central heating or cooling system), we can offer air handling units with hot or cold water batteries. The battery is selected to fit you specifications. We can supply direct expansion cooling coils selected to your specifications, with cooling gas parameters, capacities, evaporation, temperatures corresponding to your demands. This evaporation battery can then perfectly be connected to an external cooling system. Our unit frame can be designed to support these cooling modules so that the complete system resides on one single support on site! Fan & Motor Appropriate fan/ motor combinations are selected based on both the external design criteria and the internal pressure drop of the unit, ensuring optimal performance. Our RPV series are supplied with forward curved double inlet centrifugal fans, directly mounted onto the back side of the heat exchanger. For our RP & RA series, we have a choice between different forward- or backward curved double inlet centrifugal fans, with self-lubricating bearings, assuring a long-life operation. The selection can be made to your specification, depending if the main design criterion is fan speed, fan power, noise level, cost and other elements. All fan units are mounted to ensure low vibration by use of springs and silencing blocks.
RPV - RP - RA air handling units Durability Our units are manufactured from high-quality galvanized steel sheet or anodized aluminum sheet, which guarantees a product that is resistant to corrosion. There is no welding used on the casing of our air handling units. All inside components are made of galvanized steel. Corrosion is an important factor in today s environments, we have chosen to protect both indoor and outdoor surfaces and sections for all air-handling units we manufacture. Construction Each of our product series has a dedicated design and construction. RP series These units are constructed with 25mm thick sandwich panels, consisting of anodized aluminium 0.8 mm thick, with extruded polystyrene hard foam in between. RPV series Constructed in single-wall, galvanized prepainted steel sheet. The inner surfaces are fitted with PE insulation. The units are modularly assembled by combining several cabinets, all mounted on a single base frame or roofcurb. All sides of the RP units have one single panel, with pre-cut openings for air supply or intake assuring tightness against water and wind. The panels are mounted on structural elements on the inside of the unit, throughout the length, resulting in additional strength of the air handling units. On each corner of the unit, additional aluminium strips are mounted to assure perfect air & water tightness. RPV: position of blower and panel filters
RA series Our RA units are constructed by building a frame of aluminum profiles, with embedded sandwich panels inside the profiles providing greater strength. Standard construction Our standard construction consists of 25 mm sandwich panels of the same type as our RP units. This construction provides very high air and water tightness. 50 mm construction The optional use of 50 mm sandwich panels of the same type provides higher strength as well as increased thermal and sound insulation. Cold Bridge Free construction On certain projects, where the air handling unit is externally located or where an indoor AHU is handling air with a large temperature difference, there is a risk of surface condensation on the low temperature side of the unit. With such a configuration, the use of a cold bridge free construction is recommended. The air handling unit is modularly built up according to the customer s specifications. This construction makes sure that no metal to metal contact between parts on the outside and parts on the inside is made, providing an insulating air gap between all elements. All RA units have specifically designed top panels which assure a 100 % watertight product. Maintenance friendly Air handling units of the RP and RA ser require very little maintenance. The smooth wall surfaces of the AHU make cleaning very simple on both inside and outside. The inside of the unit is easily accessible through several removable panels and doors. Each section of the units requiring regular inspection or maintenance is provided with a hinged door. All other panels are fixed by screws and can be easily removed for major maintenance or inspection purposes.
