FY14 Force Management (FM) Key Dates & Information Application Period: 19 Jul 2013 to 1 Jul 14 Retire NET 1 Oct 13 and NLT 1 Sept 14 Separate NET 1 October 13 and NLT 30 Sep 14 If approved you are locked in, unless: Extreme hardship Selected for promotion Apply through vmpf

PALACE CHASE Program (2d Lt through Col) Please refer to the FY14 Enlisted Force Management Matrix located on the mypers website for a list of eligible AFSCs Must separate NLT 30 Sep 14 ADSC waivers for PCS/DEROS Curtailment, Tech Training, Post 9/11 GI Bill, Enlisted Service Obligation, (DOS), Promotion ADSC, and education leave of absence (formerly Bootstrap program) Recoupment of bonuses including Career Status Bonus will be deferred contingent upon successful completion of PALACE CHASE obligation, with the exception of Career Status Retention Bonus which WILL be recouped ADSC to ARC commitment reduced from 1 to 2, to 1 to 1 Deployment return dates will not be adjusted; deployed airmen may apply upon returning to home station

Eligibility criteria: TSgts MSgts with 15 19 YOS Capt Lt Col with 15 19 YOS Eligibility Criteria & Effective Dates In excess/overage AFSC (eligibility matrix available on mypers website) Some ADSCs are waiverable Airmen must retire NLT 1 Nov 13 Goal: Approximately 600 Enlisted for TERA Approximately 100 Officers for TERA

Exclusions Members are ineligible if: Has an approved DOS of 1 Nov 13 or earlier (upon release of PSDM) Have already applied for retirement prior to release of the PSDM Under investigation, military/civil charges, pending disciplinary action or pending invol discharge Under appellate review or in confinement Pending action under the disability evaluation system Notified prior to release of PSDM of selection for a 365-day extended deployment and elect to 3-Day Opt the deployment Under assignment consideration or notified of selection for assignment who elect to 7-Day Opt prior to release of PSDM MSgts selected for SMSgt, unless they decline promotion

Program Procedures Approval Methodology (how AFPC will approve apps): Not a first come, first serve program Applications will be racked and stacked by AFSC, grade and TAFMSD as of 31 Oct 13 Those with no ADSCs will be approved first Then waiverable ADSCs Then TIG Then CC recommendation

Overseas Personnel Members in long tour locations are eligible to apply for waiver of their PCS commitment providing they meet all other eligibility criteria

Deployed/TDY personnel Deployed personnel are eligible to apply for ADSC waivers Deployment dates will NOT be adjusted to accommodate a retirement date under this program Interested personnel should return from deployment NLT 1 Oct 13 to be considered Retirement dates may NOT be extended beyond 1 Nov 13 to accommodate deployment return dates or terminal leave

Withdrawal Requests Request to Withdraw an approved TERA retirement Reasons include: Best interest of the AF Hardship uncommon to other AF members Hardship must not have existed at time app was submitted Promotion Selection Airmen must submit withdrawal requests within 10 workdays after promotion selection notification Airmen can accomplish this via the vmpf Requests to withdraw existing retirement date to submit an application under TERA are not authorized

Milestones 29 Jul 13-Application window opens 19 Aug 13-Last day for CC to coord / app window closes 31 Aug 13-Approval/Disapprovals complete by AFPC 1 Sep 13-Notification to Members 1 Nov 13-Retirement Date
