Continuing Education Credit for both AHIMA and AAPC credentialed coders will be offered for every session and online assessment ICD-10 Task Force comprised of a variety of HIM, coding, quality, CDI, physician practice, non-acute care and other related professionals will support the activities of the ICD-10 Training Program, from case acquisition to event support Specialty sessions will be offered to address ICD-10 technical, administrative and operational topics for managers, training and topic coverage for nonhospital provider settings, as well as non-coders (i.e, Quality, CDI, PFS, PAS, etc.) Optional Online Courses in A&P and ICD-10 Introductory Review will be offered through a partnership with a commercial vendor and administered by SCHIMA to provide an affordable venue for co-learning Group Purchasing Discounts for ICD-10-CM and PCS code books for attendees of the programs will be secured prior to the delivery of the first C1 course January 2012. Online Application Process Stringent t Candidate Qualifications: Minimum of five (5) years of verifiable, recent INPATIENT coding experience RHIA, RHIT and/or CCS (minimum one (1) of three certifications kept in good standing for entirety of commitment) Prefer Associate degree and prior coding teaching/training experience Position Responsibilities shared on application include but are not limited to: Ability to travel overnight and attend 4 day AHIMA ICD 10 workshop Ability to travel overnight and attend 4 day AHIMA ICD-10 workshop. Ability to be out of office minimum one day per month to plan, develop and teach regional workshops. Ability to attend SCHIMA Board Meetings as requested Ability to develop practice coding exercises with answers for ICD-10 coding workshops and roundtables. Develop course/program evaluations Create assessment tools to measure audience knowledge level. Develop topic specific course from developing learning objectives, course outline, and detailed course content. Prepare Power Point presentations and handouts for educational sessions. Ability to speak in front of large groups. Ability to respond to audience questions verbally and via email. Demonstrate creativity, flexibility and leadership. 7
