Research Interests My research to date has been concerned with the event-related potential correlates of visual categorization. Particular questions I have addressed include the role of response conflict in categorization of exemplars at various distances from category boundaries and the role of rule complexity in modulating early and late stages of individual category decisions. I am currently a post doctoral fellow at Vanderbilt University where I am using functional magnetic resonance imaging and behavioral experiments to investigate the effect of category learning on object perception and object representations in the visual system. Honors and Awards 2000 Honorable Mention Award, National Science Foundation Graduate Student Fellowship, 2000. 2003 Cognitive Science Fellowship, Cognitive Science Program, University of Arizona, 2003. 2010 Golden Greeble Award, Perceptual Expertise Network 2010 Trainee Award, Temporal Dynamics of Learning Center Fellowships and Grants 2009-2010 Individual NRSA Post-Doctoral Training Fellowship, Effects of category learning on visual representations (1 F32 EY019445-01A2), awarded by NEI, sponsored by Isabel Gauthier and Thomas J.
