REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS 9/11 Memorial Website Hosting with Drupal support The National September 11 Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center Foundation, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit corporation registered in the State of New York, seeks proposals for managed 9/11 memorial website hosting services with Drupal support. National September 11 Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center Foundation, Inc. Hon. Michael R. Bloomberg, Chairman Mayor, City of New York Joseph C. Daniels, President and CEO December 22, 2010 RESPONSES DUE: Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 5:00 pm Page 1 of 5

The National September 11 Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center Foundation, Inc. ( 9/11 Memorial ), a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation registered in the State of New York, is seeking proposals for services related to the 9/11 memorial website (dedicated/cloud)hosting with Drupal support. ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND The 9/11 Memorial is dedicated to raising funds for, designing, programming, and operating the Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center site. The Memorial and Museum will ensure that future generations never forget the thousands of people who died on September 11 th, 2001 in New York, in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, at the Pentagon, and on the planes, as well as those who died in the terrorist bombing at the World Trade Center on February 26, 1993. The site will be comprised of three major elements. The Memorial will consist of two massive voids with the names of the nearly 3,000 victims arranged around them and waterfalls cascading down their sides, to serve as a powerful reminder of the Twin Towers and of the unprecedented loss of life from an attack on American soil. Complementing the Memorial, a state-of-the-art Museum will offer visitors an opportunity to deepen their experience at the site. The Museum will present and preserve evidence documenting these events as it honors the victims and survivors of such terrorist attacks and explores the universal implications of the events of September 11th. An eight-acre landscaped Memorial Plaza filled with more than 300 oak trees will create a contemplative space and urban parkland separate from the sights and sounds of the surrounding city. The design is unique in its use of ecological considerations which exceed sustainability standards. The lasting impact of this successful effort will be felt far into the future as it is projected that five to seven million people will visit the Memorial annually, with approximately two million visiting the Museum. PURPOSES OF SERVICES REQUESTED The 9/11 Memorial is seeking proposals from the website hosting firms that specialize in Drupal with the capacity to host our website (http://www.national911memorial.org) along with offer Drupal support and ensure that the website is running smoothly at all times as the organization is positioned to meet the many programmatic and operational objectives in advance of the committed opening dates. The Memorial will open to the public on the tenth anniversary of the attacks, September 11, 2011. The Museum will open to the public on the eleventh anniversary of the attacks, September 11, 2012. The site statistics per month are approximately as follows: Number of visits : 70000 Number of page views : 250000 Number of pages/visit : 3 Bandwidth Usage : 70 GB The website traffic is expected to ramp up over the next few months as we get closer to the opening of the 9/11 Memorial. Please provide a complete breakdown of the cost involved in providing the required services as outlined above. In this submission stage, firms may be provided with additional information on application uses and specifications, which may provide an opportunity for firms to clarify or elaborate on their proposals; in no way will any additional information or the interview itself change the original submission. The 9/11 Memorial s request for an interview shall not constitute acceptance of a proposal. Submissions should include numbered sections with the following information: 1.
