About Osborne Park Hospital Established in 1962, Osborne Park Hospital is a fully accredited 207-bed secondary hospital providing comprehensive specialist health care services for the north metropolitan suburbs. As part of the Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group, it participates in area-wide partnerships to enhance healthcare delivery. With a modern operating suite, which includes five theatres, endoscopy and a day surgery unit, Osborne Park Hospital offers a variety of clinical experiences. Specialist services at the hospital include rehabilitation, anaesthetics, general medicine, obstetrics/gynaecology as well as general surgery for orthopaedics, ophthalmology, urology, gastroenterology, and ear nose and throat. 2 Registered Nurse Graduate Program

Each clinical area also has a designated Staff Development Nurse to support newly graduated nurses during their transition from student to practitioner. Osborne Park Hospital is easily accessible from the Mitchell Freeway and only 10km from the CBD. There are good public transport networks around the hospital and free parking is available for staff and visitors. The hospital also has a social club and wellequipped staff gym on site. Membership entitles you to participate in social club activities and promotions. Graduate Program for Registered Nurses The Registered Nurse Graduate Program provides opportunities for recently graduated Registered Nurses to strengthen and consolidate their nursing knowledge and skills. Rotations The program consists of three 4-month rotations. Options may include: Surgical including day surgery. Operating room including endoscopy suite. Rehabilitation and Aged Care (RAC) Wards 3,4 & 5 with younger adults in ward 4. Outpatient facilities such as Aged Care Assessment Team and Day hospital. Two weeks of supernumerary practice in midwifery (night duty). Additional rotation option may include Palliative Care at Kalamunda Hospital. Registered Nurse Graduate Program 5

Past OPH Nurse Graduate Graduate Program Inclusions Two weeks supernumerary time is provided for hospital induction and orientation on commencement of the program.(pro Rata) Monthly graduate seminars/education for peer support, clinical and professional development. Monthly network sessions to discuss the program and learn from peers. Two professional development courses throughout the year. Supernumerary clinical practice at the commencement of each rotation. Annual leave negotiated at the start of program. Part-time employment available by negotiation. Fixed-term employment for 12 months. All participants who complete their graduate program are welcome to apply for further employment at Osborne Park Hospital if positions become available. 6 Registered Nurse Graduate Program
