The John and Roberta Hubbard Family Foundation Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior of the Philadelphia High School for Girls who plans to major in the Arts, Music or Literature and enrolls in a four year accredited college. Recipients will be selected based on the following criteria: GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale Successful Interview The Susan Cannon Jones Celebration Scholarship supports the higher education goals of a deserving, non-traditional female student who is also a single parent. Gethers Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior in a Philadelphia public school who has an interest in studying physical therapy or occupational health in a two or four year accredited college program. The recipient will be selected based on the following criteria: GPA 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale Enrolled in a two or four year accredited college or university The Simpson-Woodside Family Scholarship is awarded to a graduating female senior who plans to further her education in one of the following disciplines: Mathematics, Science Biology/ Chemistry, Physics or Engineering. The recipient will be selected on the following criteria: Extracurricular school activities The Phyllis Blair Green 217 Milestone Scholarship. The Phyllis Blair Green 217 Scholarship supports the higher educational goals of a deserving Philadelphia High School for Girls student. Recipients will be selected on the following criteria: Graduating member of the senior class GPA 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale Accepted to a 4 year college or university Proof of community service Meets and exceeds interview evaluation The Edward Sonny Washington Milestone Scholarship is awarded to a senior graduating from the Philadelphia High School for Girls. The recipient must meet the following criteria: Demonstrated leadership ability GPA 2.0 or higher Enrolled in a four year accredited college or university Is an active member of a church community Successful interview ******************************************************************************* All applications must be accompanied by an official transcript (with seal), three typewritten letters of reference, and a typewritten essay from the applicant stating future plans and why the scholarship award will help her or him reach future goals. The essay should be a minimum of 200 words and a maximum of 500 words. The application and all supporting documentation must be submitted together, in one envelope, as one complete package. It is the responsibility of the applicant to have all information submitted on time. Late and/or incomplete applications will not be considered. If applying for more than one scholarship, please submit a separate application form for each scholarship. Following the initial review of applications, semi-finalists will be chosen. An interview, during the last week of April, 2015, will be scheduled for each semi-finalist. Scholarship winners will be
selected from the semi-finalist group and will be notified in the month of May, 2015.
