The Heart of Addiction A Biblical Perspective ISBN 1-885904-68-1 Retail: $13.95 The Heart of Addiction Workbook ISBN 1-885904-69-X / Retail: $8.95 Sin is rebellion against God; it is a heart set on having its own way. Christians are not powerless to truly overcome an addiction if they have the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit to enable them to say no to choices that will mentally enslave them. This book makes the distinction between what the world terms a disease and what Scripture demonstrates is a life-dominating sin nature problem. Here you will find biblical tools to help you examine your heart s motives at the root of the addiction. The Heart of Addiction is being heralded as the leading, practical book on addictions from a biblical perspective today. The Heart of Addiction Leader s Guide ISBN 1-978-1-936141-13-5 / Retail: $14.95

Relapse Biblical Prevention Strategies This workbook-style book is for the Christian who has experienced God s grace and forgiveness but finds himself drawn back into the lure of sin. Here you will find valuable tools and insight into your temptation to return to any addiction. Endorsed by Dr. Tedd Tripp, Steve Gallagher and many others, this hands-on workbook is an important component of Dr. Shaw s biblical addiction curriculum. You will find the definitions, explanations and directions insightful, precise, and effective, since Mark draws them from the fathomless library of God s Word. I highly recommend this new work! Ed Bulkley President, International Association of Biblical Counselors By calling addictive behavior Sin, Dr. Mark Shaw directs the addict to the one solution that actually works; a right relationship with Jesus Christ. Steve Gallagher, Founder, Pure Life Ministries Cross Talking A Devotional for Transforming Addicts A 45-Day devotional book designed to transform your thoughts that lead to addiction of many types into gospel thinking that brings glory to God. We are too easily conformed to this world, and these daily readings will transform your thinking and direct you away from the temporary pleasures of self to victorious living in Christ. ISBN 978-1-885904-84-3 / Retail: $9.95

Divine Intervention Hope and Help For Families of Addicts She s been arrested. Now what? All those long talks and counseling sessions telling us how she really wanted to change, and now this. What do we do? Those despairing thoughts of parents and loved ones of addicts are common, and all the instructions and explanations the world gives have proven empty and vain. This book by Dr. Shaw is divided into three sections that will be helpful for the loved ones of those who are caught in the snare of addictive sins: Learn what to do with an unwilling, unrepentant addicted loved one. Learn what you can do with a willing, repentant addicted loved one. Learn some things the Lord desires to teach you through this trial and how you can transform your hardships into blessings. ISBN 978-1-885904-63-8 / Retail: $10.95 Eating Disorders: Hope for Hungering Souls (with Rachel Bailey and Bethany Spence) God s Word has much to say about so-called modern day problems and that includes the spectrum of eating disorders. A percentage of the proceeds from this book are donated to Vision of Hope. EATING DISORDERS Hope for Hungering Souls Mark E. Shaw with Rachel Bailey and Bethany Spence

Addiction-Proof Parenting Biblical Prevention Strategies Parenting books fill the shelves today. What has happened to parenting in America? Even within the Body of Christ we have forgotten what it means to bring our children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Mark Shaw s vast experience dealing with people struggling with addictive-type sins, and a solid biblical foundation that explains what God has to say about addiction in the Bible sets this book apart from other parenting books. Are you raising an addict? Dr. Shaw details five mentalities that we unknowingly foster in our children, and they may surprise you. But take heart, there is hope and strength found in God s Word, and power from His Holy Spirit to assist you in addiction-proofing your children. ISBN 978-1-885904-88-1 / Retail: $13.95 I think this is a great book. It is properly aligned, and because of extensive counseling experience, Mark Shaw is able to work back from how addicts think to biblical ways of thinking about oneself and life that counter addictive thought patterns. This book is for serious parents who will invest time in training their children. What could possibly be more important in this dangerous world? I hope you will read this book even better do this book! Dr. Tedd Tripp, Pastor, Conference Speaker, and author of Shepherding a Child s Heart ~~~~ In biblical Christianity it is not enough that we stop doing what is wrong; we must also start doing what is right, and for the right reasons. The put-off, put-on by changing the way you think principle is taught clearly in Ephesians 4:22-24. Here is a book that masterfully helps parents do that personally and with their children. This book will be helpful both to parents-to-be and those with children enslaved to life-dominating sins. Randy Patten, Association of Christian Biblical Counselors (ACBC)
