Victim of crime? A guide to help Violence and other criminal acts pose a serious social problem. This brochure was prepared for those who are victims of various forms of crime. Everyone has the right to safety and security for his/her person and property. This is laid down in the UN Declaration of Human Rights. All those exposed to criminal actions should speak to someone about what happened. Several options are available to get help and information about victims rights. This brochure is intended as guide to a selection of such services. Help services are presented in alphabetical order with specialist services for children, adolescents and the elderly. A list of services and bodies offering free legal aid is included at the back of the brochure. In emergency situations do not hesitate call the police emergency number - 112. This brochure was prepared by Juridisk Rådgivning for Kvinner (JURK) and Rådgivningskontorene for kriminalitetsofre (RKK) with the financial support of the Ministry of Justice.
