Together with the Statement you will be given our Deposit Account Terms and Conditions, and our Internet and Phone Terms and Conditions if registered. Together these documents comprise the Terms and Conditions for the account and/or facility and should be read carefully before acquiring the account and kept for future reference. If you haven t received all these documents please contact us. Some words have special meanings as set out in Section B of the Deposit Account Terms and Conditions and Section B of the Internet and Phone Terms and Conditions. Where a word is used in the Terms and Conditions with a special meaning we generally italicise it 1 ABOUT THE ONLINE SAVINGS ACCOUNT 1.1 This account is a personal savings account that earns interest on the credit balance where all account owners are eligible at the time interest is paid. 1.2 This account offers unlimited free Internet and Phone transactions (which are available on this account as set out in clause 2.2 below). 1.3 To be eligible to open an Online Savings Account and to receive interest, each account owner must have an Everyday Account or a Home Loan or a Line of Credit with Newcastle Permanent. 2 KEY FEATURES 2.1 Subject to clause 2.2 below, this account offers payment facilities including Internet and Phone. Payment facilities and access methods such as Cards (Cashcard and Visa Debit card), Personal Cheque Facility, BPAY, Automatic Transfers arranged through a branch or using the Pay Anyone facility, Branch, ATM and EFTPOS, are not available with this account and may be accessed via another Newcastle Permanent account such as our Everyday Account. 2.2 All of the Internet and Phone services are available as set out in clause 4 of the Internet and Phone Terms and Conditions except for making a payment using the BPAY Scheme, viewing and paying your bills using BPAY View and arranging automatic transfers from your registered account using the Pay Anyone facility. 2.3 There is no minimum deposit to open the account. 2.4 This account is intended for use by individuals who acquire it for personal, domestic or household use or consumption. If you wish to acquire services in connection with a business, please contact us on 13 19 87 or contact one of our branches.

Online Savings Account 3 INTEREST 3.1 The interest rates are variable and may be changed by us at any time. Any change to an interest rate will be notified on our website. You can obtain information about our current rates by visiting a branch or our website at newcastlepermanent.com.au, emailing enquiries@newcastlepermanent.com.au, or by calling our Member Support Centre on 13 19 87. 3.2 Credit interest is paid monthly to the account and is calculated on the daily opening balance and paid on the last day of the month where each account owner is eligible through having an Everyday Account or a Home Loan or a Line of Credit with Newcastle Permanent at the time interest is applied. 3.3 Interest is currently calculated at the following rates: Amount From Amount To Interest Rate per annum (single tier method) $0 And over 4.75% 4 OPERATING YOUR ACCOUNT 4.1 Branch deposits and direct credits to the account are permitted. 4.2 Withdrawals may only be made by Internet and Phone to another registered account. 4.3 Record of Account and Confirmation of Transactions: A statement of account will be issued once every 6 months. If you would like to receive a statement of account more frequently please visit a branch or call our Member Support Centre on 13 19 87. 4.4 SMS alerts and estatements are available with Internet 5 FEES AND CHARGES 5.1 This account offers unlimited free Internet and Phone transactions (see below for details of Fees and Charges for General Services and Foreign Currency Services). 5.2 Fees and Charges for General Services which may be incurred on your account: Document & Miscellaneous Service Fees Fee applies if you request copies of documents such as withdrawal slips or statements, or you ask us to verify a transaction performed on your account, or request other information. Calculated on an hourly rate, charged on a pro-rata basis (minimum charges apply). Charged to your account after search is undertaken. Special Clearance on Cheque Fee Fee applies if you request a special clearance on a cheque deposited into your account, and is charged to your account at the time each request is made. $60.00 per hour (minimum $10.00 each copy) $25.00 Unclaimed Moneys Administration Fee Fee applies if your account becomes unclaimed due to the application of the Act 1959. Fee is charged to your account on closure of account and reflects our costs in checking for any known contacts and the search of related accounts. Dormant Account Fee Fee applies if you do not generate any transactions on your account for a period of 36 months. Online Savings Account international transfers in a foreign currency to Australian dollars. We do not charge a fee for this service, however there will be outside bank costs which will be passed on to you. Fee is debited from amount before being credited to your account. Fee applies for the conversion of international drafts or international cheques in a foreign currency to Australian dollars. Calculated as a percentage of the total value of the draft or cheque. Minimum fee applies. Fee payable when draft or cheque is converted. Fee is debited from amount before being credited to your account. Foreign Currency Fee (Cashed) Fee applies if we arrange for the cashing of foreign currency for you. Calculated as a percentage of the total value of the foreign currency cashed. Minimum fee applies. Fee payable when foreign currency is cashed. Fee is debited from amount before being credited to your account. 1% (Min. $2.00) Travellers Cheque Fee (Cashed) Fee applies if we arrange for the cashing of travellers cheques for you. Calculated as a percentage of the total value of the travellers cheques cashed. Minimum fee applies. Fee payable when cheques are cashed. Fee is debited from amount before being credited to your account. 1% (Min. $2.00) 5.4 You must ensure you have sufficient funds available in your account to cover the cost of any fees payable. If there are insufficient funds available in your account, your account may become overdrawn. 6 DAILY LIMITS 6.1 There are no daily limits that apply to the Online Savings Account.

Newcastle Permanent Building Society Limited Supplementary Terms and Conditions for Everyday Account or Online Savings Account These supplementary Terms and Conditions: apply where you hold an Everyday Account and/or Online Savings Account and you register for access to Internet in relation any of those accounts; and should be read in conjunction with our Internet and Phone Terms and Conditions dated 21 May 2012. The definition of electronic equipment is replaced with: electronic equipment includes an electronic terminal, computer, television and all kinds of telephones. The definition of Internet is replaced with: Internet means: - our internet banking service you can access when you enter via the website at newcastlepermanent.com.au; and - our Mobile service you can access when you enter via the website at m.newcastlepermanent.com.au or newcastlepermanent.com.au, using any appropriate internet connection if you have registered for the Internet service in accordance with these terms and conditions. A new definition for Mobile is inserted as follows: Mobile means an internet banking service you access via a telephone with the requisite capability. For more information on whether your telephone is compatible with our Mobile service please contact us.

In Section C (Internet and Phone ), the following is amended: Clause 3.4 is replaced with: 3.4 Subject to any restrictions regarding the type of access and the payment facilities available for an account as set out in the terms or conditions or conditions of use for each registered account, you can choose between View Only and Full Access for each registered account: For Phone if you choose View Only access you will only be able to perform services 1-5 listed in clause 4. If you choose Full Access, you will be able to perform all the Phone services marked in clause 4;and For Internet (excluding Mobile ), if you choose View Only access you will only be able to perform services 1 9 listed in clause 4. If you choose Full Access, you will be able to perform all the Internet services marked in clause 4; and For Mobile, if you choose View Only access you will only be able to perform services 1 2 listed in clause 4. If you choose Full Access, you will be able to perform all the Mobile services marked in clause 4. Subject to any restrictions regarding the level of access available for an account as set out in the terms or conditions or conditions of use for each registered account, you may change your level of access by completing a request in accordance with our procedures. Receive an SMS from us on your mobile phone notifying you of various activities on registered accounts 4. 10. Make a payment using the BPAY Scheme 3.
