RESPONSE: FSU would award advanced credit for notes of 10 or higher for subjects on the baccalaureat where the coefficient value is 4 or higher. We typically award 6 semester hours per subject and 8 semester hours for sciences and non-english languages. THE TOEFL EXAM FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS TOEFL EXAM www.ets.org If a student is in ESOL classes in Senior Year (and, some colleges, at any time in high school) and does not have strong SAT or ACT scores in English, Reading, Writing, the college will likely Require the TOEFL. (At Miami-Dade College, if the student was formerly ESOL in high school and does not produce sufficient assessment results, the student will be placed in an ESOL track prior to a regular college credit program.)
