EFFECTIVE January 1, 2015 Ed 504 PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS BEGINNING EDUCATOR Valid for a minimum of three years EXPERIENCED EDUCATOR Have three years of full- time educator experience AND Successfully complete a renewal cycle according to local professional development master plan AND Be deemed effective or above according to the local evaluation system for two consecutive years

EDUCATOR ASSIGNMENTS Educator assignments are to be submitted in the Beginning of Year (BOY) i4see submission See data dictionary for i4see subject submission list Even central office assignments need to be entered each year
EIS and i4see training The BOY data trainings will include information about providing uploads to the EIS Additional training is available by request Recorded webinars may be available
NCES course codes There is a pilot program underway to add NCES* course codes to the i4see submission School Courses for the Exchange of Data (SCED) Classification System *National Center for Education Statistics

ELEMENTARY EDUCATION Ed 507.11 New Candidates K- 6: new content standards K- 8: Must have a subject area concentration in one of four areas (Math, ELA, Science or Social Studies) and pass the middle school Praxis II in the area of concentration
Elementary MulC- Subjects Praxis II Some students have difficulty passing the mathematics subtest Ensure that HR knows the requirements before offering a contract The multi- subjects Praxis II now gives more information about the content area strengths and weakness of candidates

Physical Science Reactivated endorsement Preferred endorsement for grade 9 Physical Science instead of Middle School Science (gr. 5-9) Available for the Alternative 4 pathway Educators with Gr. 5-9 Middle School Science will keep the endorsement Going forward, educators will be given Middle School Science Gr. 5-8 to align with other middle level endorsements

MCEE Model Code of Educator Ethics Released by the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification in April 2015 NH DOE will advise the State Board to enter rulemaking to add the MCEE to the Professional Education Standards (Ed 505.07, Ed 610.02)
TESTING Core Academic Skills for Educators (PRAXIS I REPLACEMENT) 3 parts: candidate must pass each subtest to obtain a Statement of Eligibility (SOE) for alternative pathways Reading Writing- Mathematics http://www.ets.org/praxis/nh/requirements
Alterna6ve 4 and Praxis Core Preferred for Career and Technical Education alternative 4 candidates to pass Praxis Core exams before obtaining an SOE When timing dictates, SOE may be issued after educator has scheduled the exam Candidates who do not pass will be asked to address the basic skills in their Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP)
