Senior Management Team IONIQ are experienced in trading and broking commodities transactions on behalf of principle clients across the globe. Sir Charles Masefield is the Chairman of IONIQ Capital Partners and a Director of the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce. He formally worked within the British Government with responsibility for all UK Defence Exports and was knighted by Her Majesty the Queen for his services to British exports. Sir Charles is a former President of BAE Systems, European Chairman of 'Trans Atlantic Business Development, President of the Royal Aeronautical Society and Vice Chairman of GEC. Marc Ingram is the CEO of IONIQ and is responsible for the leadership and direction of the company. Prior to joining IONIQ, Marc had a distinguished career in the UK police service before pursuing opportunities in the private sector. Since leaving, he has held directorships and advisory roles in a range of companies both nationally and internationally. Marc maintains an active involvement in the trading and broking of commodities, with a particular focus on Ioniq s mandates in crude oil and refined fuels along with gold bullion and rough diamonds.
Damon Walker is a founder member of Ioniq and has considerable experience in both the International and London property sector. His experience in both the residential and commercial areas led him to advise and manage a wide range of property portfolios. Damon brings a wealth of commercial acumen and strategic management capabilities and oversees many of the international operations for Ioniq. His skill sets and established relationships give him a particular strength in the GCC and African continent. Chris George is also a founder Director of IONIQ and a UK Chartered Accountant. He founded his own accountancy practice in 1984 which merged with a larger firm in 2005, becoming CEO of the larger firm before selling out in 2007. Since then he has operated an advisory business holding several Non-Executive Directorships of companies in the Property Investment and Development, Asset Management, Foreign Exchange areas. Nick Montague Is the Head of Compliance at Ioniq and brings over thirty years experience of trading and broking in international money and commodity markets. He has successfully established and managed trading desks in London, continental Europe and Australasia. Nick s role is to liaise with the expanding Ioniq client base to structure trades and to ensure that all counterparties are fully validated and compliant within the relevant regulatory requirements.
COMMODITIES IONIQ holds exclusive mandates and representation agreements to supply and purchase the following commodities: Crude Oil and Refined Fuels: Including Aviation Kerosene (JetA/A1and TS1), Gasoil, Fuel Oil (M100 Mazut), EN590, plus other refined oil products from GCC, CIS and Russia, South America and Africa. Rough Diamonds: Min parcel size of 5,000cts, minimum stone size of 5cts, D-1, VS1 or better Gold Bullion and Dore Bars IONIQ has a policy of dealing either directly with the client, or directly with the mandate. It does not engage in protracted broker chains in the sale and purchase of commodities. IONIQ provides a bespoke and unique Paymaster service free of charge on all of the transactions we are involved in or at a fee to be agreed in transactions we are not involved in. IONIQ carry out full Due Diligence and compliance on all trading partners prior to engagement and any refusal to provide the requested information or documentation will result in the termination of discussions.
Strategy IONIQ s role is to help meet the demand for a product in one location with supply from another. We achieve that by working very closely with our panels of buyers and sellers. Buyer Facilitation We work with our panel of international buyers to assist them in sourcing the commodities they need, at commercially viable prices. In particular diesel, jet fuel, crude oil, rough diamonds and gold bullion. Many are end users, some are resellers or traders. All are ready, willing and able. All are experienced. All of our buyers have the ability, knowledge and desire to close a deal. Seller Facilitation As with our panel of buyers, we work tirelessly for our sellers to source credible, ready, willing and able buyers. Buyers who know exactly what they are looking for, have the means and knowledge to purchase and have closed deals. We filter, vet, verify and carry out extensive due diligence on buyers that we introduce to our sellers, so that our panel of sellers can transact with confidence.
