In the old syllabus 2012-14, there are 41 papers in all including 1a+1b+1c+1d. 3. In the new AICTE prescribed syllabus, there are 35 papers + summer Internship project, i.e. 36 papers in all. 4. 1b+1c+1d are DR VN BRIMS driven papers. Hence total papers in 2013-15 add up to 39.

AICTE expects 100 learning hours per paper of which 30 hours are class contact hours per paper. The remaining 70 hours are meant for experiential learning, International focus, Information technology orientation, Seminars/ Summits/ Workshop participation, Guest lectures et. al. 70 hours of learning per paper has to be disclosed and recorded separately. Multiple evaluation components may be taken up in every course as appropriate end term exams, midterm exams, quizzes, assignments, role-plays, projects, case reviews, term papers etc.
