She graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelors of Physical Therapy. She earned her Performance Enhancement Specialist certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2005. Gwynne received her OMPT (Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy) and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Oakland University in 2009 and 2011, respectively. He has been a Certified Athletic Trainer for 14 years with experience treating orthopedic/sports medicine injuries and movement impairments. He did internships with the Detroit Rockers of the Major indoor Soccer League and the Plymouth Whalers Hockey Team. Scott applies a wide-range of manual techniques including Kaltenborn-Evjenth mobilizations, osteopathic spinal techniques, muscle energy for the spine and pelvis and occasionally uses Mobilization with Movement techniques. After working in his own clinic for three years, he relocated to the USA and has been working for over 14 years in outpatient orthopedics and sports physical therapy. He earned his OMPT certificate in 2006 and completed research for his Doctorate of Science in Physical Therapy with a specification in Manual Therapy in 2012. He completed his fellowship in Applied Functional Science at the Gray Institute of Functional Training. He adds specific focus during treatment on functional training and orthopedic manual techniques. Erik is also currently involved with teaching Advanced Therapeutic Exercises, Modalities and Diagnostic Procedures at Wayne State University. His current research interests are the Consequences of the Effect of Decreased Core Strength on Lower Extremity Injuries and the Efficacy of Segmental Manual Techniques. His clinical interests primarily involve helping people solve their issues through biomechanical problem solving.
