Best Practice Partnership Program Empowering Community- Based Pathologists Keeping Medicine Local

Losing outreach to centralized reference laboratories? Wondering how molecular testing & digital pathology fit into your Practice? Sending samples out? What are you getting in return?

The Problem: Community-based pathologists are under increasing pressure. Historically, specialty anatomic pathology laboratories have used a host of quality and service features to drive pathology out of the local market and into their centralized laboratories. The steady migration of biopsy procedures to an outpatient setting, coupled with a lack of sales and marketing resources, has further weakened community-based pathologists hold on the local market. There is also a widening technology gap between community-based pathology practices and centralized sub-specialty laboratories. For instance, the progression of digital pathology, while still at the early-adopter stage, is enabling the rapid, and efficient co-management of cases among multiple laboratories and physicians. Digital pathology systems and other capital-intensive technology enhancements are accelerating the technology gap between community-based pathology practices and well-funded competing centralized labs. AP Laboratory Quality and Service Features: Sub-specialty trained pathologists Rapid turnaround time (TAT) Enhanced testing capabilities and high-complexity testing (e.g., molecular diagnostics) Detailed/customized diagnostic reporting Physician-client connectivity solutions and extensive managed care contracting Dedicated sales and marketing personnel Have you lost outreach clients because of an inability to integrate with their EMR/PMS systems? Are you ready for digital pathology? Are you able to leverage your managed care contracts effectively? Is your Practice thriving?

The Solution: The Best Practice Partnership Program CBLPath has employed best practices in sales and marketing, information technology, medical operations, lab operations, and managed care to achieve our success. CBLPath recognizes a natural synergy between our lab and the community-based pathologist. We have packaged this knowledge into a unique service offering, the Best Practice Partnership Program. Best Practice empowers communitybased pathologists to thrive in this competitive market, keeping medicine local. The Best Practice Partnership Program is designed to enable your practice to benefit from the industry convergence of anatomic, molecular and digital pathology, without significant capital expenditures such as computer hardware, software and instrumentation.
