Our People Our professional staff of board-certified pathologists, technologists, histotechnicians, and patient-guest support personnel are highly trained and dedicated to putting the patient-guest first. Havlik, M.D. Dr. Havlik is a graduate of the Medical College of Pennsylvania and served his pathology residency at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. He is the medical director of the Community Hospital Laboratory and he specializes in anatomic, clinical and forensic pathology. Robert A. Kurtzman, D.O. Dr. Kurtzman is a graduate of Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery. He completed his general and forensic pathology training in Detroit, Michigan. He has been practicing at Community Hospital since Tara L. Marshall, M.D. Dr. Marshall completed her medical school and pathology residency training at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and has special expertise in gastrointestinal and hepatic pathology.

Our laboratory benefits health care providers and their patients by offering: Convenience We offer STAT availability 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Comprehensive in-house test menu for prompt laboratory service and timely reporting. Most routine testing is completed the same day. We provide rapid reporting by Quality Health Network (QHN), fax, courier or mail. Our service area reaches from Western Colorado to Eastern Utah and we provide daily courier services, STAT and on-call pickups. We offer outreach services for inpatient, outpatient, physician offices, nursing homes and assisted-living facilities. Consultation Prompt follow-up for clinical and anatomic pathology. Timely consultation regarding test selection. Clinical Excellence Test protocols and menus are tailored to meet the scientific and clinical needs of patientguests and medical professionals.
