Ellis Zilka EZ Consulting Principal Ellis Zilka is an experienced business professional with over 20 years of business advisory and managerial experience. After graduating from the UNSW s prestigious Business Information Technology scholarship program in 1991 (BSc), he worked for KPMG Management Consulting in Sydney, Australia and Toronto, Canada for six years. At KPMG, his management consulting specialisations included Information Technology Strategy, Business Process Reengineering and Organisational and Management Reviews for both private sector and public sector organizations. He was a co-founder and Director of Operations for Proximity Pty Ltd from 1998 to 2006. Proximity was an Australian technology company that developed video and graphics management solutions for the broadcast-television and post-production industries. The company was successful in obtaining a number of Federal Government grants to advance its R&D and export activities as well as international venture capital funding. Its technology won a number of local and international awards highlighted by an Emmy award from the National Academy of Arts and Sciences (USA). In December 2006, Proximity entered into an asset sale agreement with Apple Computers Inc (USA) that provided for the sale of Proximity s intellectual property to Apple and a successful exit for its founders and shareholders. This technology has been incorporated into Apple s professional applications suite and is marketed by Apple as Final Cut Server.
