The first study was based upon relatively high-level operational views it identified concepts technologies applicable the on-board vehicle system, without specifying a full precise set stards be adopted as a reference. Interfaces with different innovation speeds, tactical ad-hoc local area network communications logistics maintenance aspects a future architecture were all recognised as requiring further investigation. Furthermore, during the course the first LAVOSAR study, the Generic Vehicle stardisation initiative NATO was endorsed; leading the recognition by joint stakeholders that future evolution mission system architecture by NATO will need be aligned. Against this background the motivation the proposed LAVOSAR II project is address the above identified gaps establish a more mature suite architectural stardisation materials complementary NGVA. A roadmap shall be developed harmonise along the different vehicle types in the European Countries the data exchange procedures on Modification, Maintenance, Repair Overhaul with military civilian facilities. A roadmap shall be developed that shows future development NGVA how LAVOSAR II activities can contribute that development. Theree, other relevant programmes activities are analysed the borderlines will be defined such that European nations can benefit from such an European. If necessary, additional layers the first LAVOSAR architecture will be identified defined. Further benefits be gained will be evaluated the cost implementation estimated. This Work Package builds the base all other Work Packages because it clearly defines the scope. In Work Package, Open Reference Stards, requirements specific Europe the applicability stards in the relevant architectural views are investigated. Especially, disciplines different innovation speeds, NGVA Data Model complementation, f vehicle communications are included gaps are identified where insufficient stardization exists. The stard lists from the first LAVOSAR study will be updated specific recommendations developed such that an input the EDSTAR portal will be possible. Wherever possible, the stards will be assigned the elements the architectural views in order illustrate where the stard applies. WP will run in parallel share inmation with linked activities WP 3 WP4. Work Package 3 addresses Workflows Procedure s is subdivided in the Operational Workflows Logistics Workflows. First, inmation support from the Chief Architect will be requested the requirements such architecture will be analysed. Then, architectural views will be transmed as they are developed. At the end documentation will be generated the architecture will be hed over. Tight involvement the major stakeholders is intended by organising the required workshops briefings. As in the first LAVOSAR study, a Government will be organised during the first phase a second Industry after some more results are already available. The government will serve the acquisition requirements whereas the Industry is inm other industry get feedback. Several briefings will be given a selected audience as agreed with the Project Officer during the course the study. Page 6
