2 of 7 HOT FIX 2 FOR :ARKITEX WORKFLOW PRODUCER V6.0 2. About this Hot Fix This document provides release notes for Hot Fix 2 for :Arkitex Producer v6.0 (also known as Producer v6.0 HF2). 2.1. Software Details WARNING: Carefully read these release notes before installing this software. Installation Requirements :Arkitex Producer v6.0 Note: Hot Fix 2 for Producer v6.0 is required to run the Director v6.0 HF4.
HOT FIX 2 FOR :ARKITEX WORKFLOW PRODUCER V6.0 3 of 7 3. Installation Instructions 3.1. Installation of the Hot Fix Shut down all the Arkitex Producer applications prior to installing this hot fix. Install Hot Fix 2 for :Arkitex Producer v6.0 using the installer provided. Follow the prompts. During the update process, the installer will create a backup copy of the currently installed files that are about to be replaced in the subfolders. The Producer\InstallationBackup\PreProducer60_HF02 folder will contain the backed up files from the Producer v6.0, or its HF1 if it is an upgrade from V6.0 HF1. CAUTION: The InstallationBackup folders, subfolders, and the files contained in them should not be deleted. Should an uninstall be required, the files located in these backup folders will be used to restore the system back to the same state that existed before the hot fix was installed. Warning: Installing the hot fix in a Cluster environment: Please consult with your local service engineer or the regional support centre prior to installing this hot fix in a cluster environment. The above listed procedure is applicable only to a non-cluster environment. 3.2. Removal of the Hot Fix To restore the Producer system to the pre hot fix state, you may select Remove from the installer to remove the entire Hot Fix 2 for :Arkitex Producer v6.0. Or, you may use the Add/Remove programs from the Control Panel; select Arkitex Producer HF02 to remove the hot fix. When you remove the hot fix software using either of these options, the original backed up files found will be restored.
4 of 7 HOT FIX 2 FOR :ARKITEX WORKFLOW PRODUCER V6.0 4. Enhancements / Implementations 4.1. Bonder.exe Added Support for files with the.fmp extension. These file are created by the Founder s RIP. Bonder was not able to handle the '&' character in the JobID. 4.2. BonderExt.exe Fixed a problem caused by the job being listed in the OptiInk status file more than once. BonderExt was not able to handle OptiInk status file that has UNC path in the OutFolder name. 4.3. BonderPF.exe HF2 adds support for PitStop version 8. Below are the instructions that you need to familiarize with while setting Producer to either use PitStop 8 or its previous version (i.e., 7). When Producer installer is installing BonderPF as a Service, highlight the BonderPF (service name), click Edit and enter the following configuration settings. If PitStop 8 is installed: The Configuration File entry should be selected to: \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Enfocus Prefs Folder\PitStop Server\HotFolders\HotFolderInfoFile.txt. If PitStop 7 or earlier is installed: The Configuration File entry should be selected to: \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Enfocus Prefs Folder\PitStopServer4.sprefs. Procedure on manually changing the existing Configuration File entry. From the cmd window, type \Arkitex\Producer\bin\BonderPF.exe service BonderPF <ret>. Highlight the BonderPF (service name) then click edit. In the BonderPF Parameters window, select the Configuration File entry as follows: If PitStop 8 is installed: The Configuration File entry should be selected to: \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Enfocus Prefs Folder\PitStop Server\HotFolders\HotFolderInfoFile.txt. If PitStop 7 or earlier is installed: The Configuration File entry should be selected to: Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Enfocus Prefs Folder\PitStopServer4.sprefs. NOTE: NOTE: On a fresh Producer BonderPF install using HF2, the configuration file entry will default to the PitStop 8 type of status file. If you are upgrading an old version of Producer BonderPF software (such as v5.0, or v6.0 HF1), the older status file will remain selected. If you must use PitStop 8, the user will have to manually reconfigure (see above) the software to select the PitStop 8 status.

ActMon.exe Activity Monitor now contains a new option called "Right Click Drag and Drop Options" under the Queues\Preferences\Drag and Drop options. Note that this option only affects Tiff or XML jobs. Figure 1 Drag and Drop Options The new options are "Don't show menu", and "Default copies". See Figure 1. "Don't show menu" If disabled, a menu will be displayed after a right click and drag operation is performed. The options are Copy Here, Move Here, Copy Multiple, and Move Multiple. If enabled, a menu is not displayed. "Default copies". This is the default number of copies that are put into the job after Right Click and Drop is performed. 4.5. Oweb.exe Added additional logging to be used when troubleshooting in the debug mode. Improved ability to find user groups in an Active Directory.

Dbsetup.exe Figure 2 DBSetup Fixed a problem which occurs during the installation of Producer v6.0 (or, v6.0 HF1) in SQL 2005 system in an Active Directory domain. This issue shows up when the Arkitex Service user is being assigned as the default user for the OMAN database. See Figure 2 above for the error message. Note, this error also occurs when running the dbsetup.exe, or restoring a configuration. 4.7. Ows.exe (Image Agent) Additional logging has been added which can be seen when troubleshooting in the debug mode. Improved ability to find user groups in an Active Directory. 4.8. addusr.bat The batch file has been modified to make it compatible with SQL 2005. The following line was modified in this batch file: Changed GRANT ALL" to "GRANT control,select,alter,delete,insert,references,update,view definition,take ownership". 4.9. DirMon.exe (Directory Monitor) The polling logic has been modified to prevent picking up of previously processed jobs. This issue mainly happens when DirMon.exe is monitoring a folder on a cluster, and the cluster is failed over to the other node. 4.10. Jobsched.exe (Job Scheduler) Fixed a problem where copies count was missing in the Tiff tag #337. 4.11. PreFlight queue The PitStop device in the PreFlight queue has been enhanced to allow disabling of the PitStop device. After disabling the PitStop device, the old PreFlight queue in ActMon needs to be deleted then re-created. Fixed a problem with files being left in the Windows temporary folder. 4.12. TiffEditor2.exe (Tiff Editor) Tiff Editor has been modified in order for it to work with Arkitex Essentials.
