Mission Statement Mission of the Federal Work-Study Program To provide funds to students to assist in offsetting the cost of a college education. To enhance and support the development of interpersonal skills in the work place that will ultimately benefit the student employee s performance in their workstudy position and with future employment endeavors. To provide support to on-campus departments with a need for studentemployees and to non-profit community service employers. A student employee is a student first and an employee second. Because the student s primary purpose is the pursuit of an education, employment should not interfere with the student s educational goals. At the same time, student employees are employed by Tri-County Technical College and accorded the same respect and dignity as all other college employees. Employment Types On-campus On-campus employment includes all Tri-County Technical College campuses and extensions. On-campus student employees are employees of the college and supervised by college faculty or staff. Off-campus Off-campus employment includes contracted eligible agencies.
