FUJITSU Cloud IaaS Trusted Public S5 Modifying Virtual Resources This guide describes the process for modifying virtual resources on the IaaS Trusted Public S5 platform How to Modify a Virtual System A Virtual System can be modified by double clicking on the VSYS within System Manager, then selecting Reconfigure. The following modifications can be performed: Figure 1 - Virtual System Reconfiguration Button Changes to the Performance Type of a VM The Addition or Removal of a VM The Addition or Removal of Storage The Disconnection or Re-attachment of Storage The Addition or Removal of a Server Load Balancer, Changes to the Performance Type of a Firewall The Establishment or Removal of Internet or Intranet connections The Addition or Removal of Global IP Address Date: 17/11/2014 Page 1 of 14

Additional Option Area Configuration Map Area Property Area Changing a Virtual Machine Performance Type To change the Performance Type of a Virtual Machine (VM): Figure 2 Reconfiguration Screen Layout 1. From within the Reconfigure screen, select the VM within the Configuration Map area. 2. Select the Details tab in the Property area. 3. Choose the new VM type from the drop-down Type menu. Figure 3 - Virtual Machine Type Date: 17/11/2014 Page 2 of 14

A VM can be one of eight Types Economy, Standard, Advanced, High-Performance, Double High 15, Double-High Performance, Quad High 30 or Quad High Performance. VM specifications and performance increase via each option. Note: It is necessary to stop a VM, before the Performance Type of a VM can be modified. Users must check that the specification of the VM Type chosen, meets the minimum requirements for any OS / Application to be run on it. Add VMs / Load Balancers / Additional Disks The steps to add VMs, load balancers, and additional disks are described in the following procedures: Please note that when naming a VM, SLB or Additional disk, the following character restrictions apply: Maximum number of letters: Up to 256 one-byte or 85 two-byte characters Non-usable characters: [ ] (single quotation) and [ ] (double quotation) It is NOT possible to put the same names to VMs, SLBs, and additional disks within the same virtual system. Adding VMs Drag and Drop Figure 4 - Adding VMs Users can add VMs by dragging and dropping a VM icon from the Additional Option area to the Configuration Map area. Users can select the network segment (DMZ, SECURE1, or SECURE2) as a destination. Drop the icon into a target network segment on the Configuration Map area. The Add Virtual Network button can be used to add up to 8 additional Network cards to the VM, across all available Network segments. Once set, the network cards cannot be changed and will remain till the VM is returned. Date: 17/11/2014 Page 3 of 14

Figure 5 Add Virtual Network Interface Card 1. Use the up and down arrows to increase the Virtual Network Interface Card count across each subnet (up to a maximum of 8 NICs) 2. Click Ok to complete Add Load Balancers and Additional Disks. Drag and Drop Figure 6 - Adding Load Balancers and Disks Users can select and add Load Balancers from the Other tab that is in the Additional Option area. Load Balancers icons are dropped into the same network segment as the VMs. Additional Disks can also be selected from the same location, but disk icons are dropped onto the required target VM themselves. NOTE: It is necessary to stop the VM before an additional disk can be added to an existing VM. There are two types of Load Balancer to choose between, the standard performance Load Balancer, and the higher performance Turbo Load Balancer. It is not possible to change between performances types once deployed, although further Load Balancers can be added. Date: 17/11/2014 Page 4 of 14

To specify the size of the Additional Disk 1. Drag and Drop an Additional Disk onto the appropriate VM. 2. Select the VM with this Additional Disk within the Configuration Map area. 3. Choose the Additional Disk from the drop-down menu next to Name : in the Property area. 4. Move the sliding bar to determine the amount of storage required from 10GB to 10TB, smaller increments can be made with the Up/Down arrows. Configuration Map Area Figure 7 - Changing the size of an additional disk Users can only set the desired disk size before the Additional Disks are created. It is NOT possible to change the size of the disks once created. Note that some Operating Systems running within a VM are restricted in their capability in accessing attached Additional Disk size capacities greater than 2TB or other higher limits. Consult the Restrictions and Considerations section of the Portal for details of Operating Systems specifics. Addition of multiple Additional Disks which each meet the VM Operating System s maximum accessible capacity can be used to create the required disk storage capacity. Up to 14 additional disks can be added to each VM. Date: 17/11/2014 Page 5 of 14

Firewall Performance Type Change Figure 8 - Changing the Firewall Performance Type 1. Select the Firewall icon within the Configuration Map area. 2. Choose either Normal or Turbo from the drop-down menu next to Type : in the Property area. Firewall and Load Balancer Redundancy Outside of the reconfiguration screen, the Firewall and Load Balances can be made redundant, by selecting each and clicking Start from the normal VSYS Management Screen: Figure 9 Starting Firewall Redundancy Date: 17/11/2014 Page 6 of 14

Redundancy can be Stopped in the same way when required. Deleting VMs / Load Balancers / Additional Disks Figure 10 Starting Load Balancer Redundancy The steps to delete VMs, Load Balancers, and Additional Disks are described in the following sections. Note: A Firewall cannot be deleted. Deleting a VM When Users select the VM or Load Balancer, as well as the component information, a Delete button is displayed. Click the Delete button to delete a selected VM or Load Balancer. Figure 11- Deleting a VM A running VM or Load Balancer, must be stopped before it can be deleted.
