April 9, 2014 This release of the Cloud Big Data API updates the default values for the absolute limits in the Cloud Big Data Developer Guide as shown in the following table. Table 1. February 3, 2014 This release of the Cloud Big Data API includes Role Based Access Control (RBAC). Role Based Access Control (RBAC) restricts access to the capabilities of Rackspace Cloud services, including the Cloud Big Data API, to authorized users only. RBAC enables Rackspace Cloud customers to specify which account users of their Cloud account have access to which Cloud Big Data API service capabilities, based on roles defined by Rackspace. The permissions to perform certain operations in Cloud Big Data API create, read, update, delete are assigned to specific roles, and these roles can be assigned by the Cloud account admin user to account users of the account. For more information, see the section on RBAC in the Cloud Big Data Developer Guide. 11
January 14, 2014 This release is the initial Limited Availability (LA) release of the Cloud Big Data API, v1. Rackspace is pleased to announce the Limited Availability release of Rackspace Cloud Big Data. The Limited Availability program enables customers and Rackers to test an early version of the product and provide feedback on the product and capabilities. Customers are screened as part of the on-boarding process to ensure correct product/customer fit. September 16, 2013 This release is the initial Early Access (EA) release of the Cloud Big Data API, v1. Rackspace is pleased to announce the Early Access release of Rackspace Cloud Big Data. The Early Access program enables customers and Rackers, by invitation, to test an early version of the product and provide feedback on the product and its capabilities. The Cloud Big Data Early Access program is a preproduction service offering covered by the Beta Services terms (rackspace.com/information/legal/testterms/) in the Rackspace Cloud Terms of Service. 13
