WELCOME TO EMHAC 2012! Dear Friends and Colleagues, It is our great pleasure and honor to invite you to the forthcoming 5th EMHAC (European Multidisciplinary Hand and upper limb Aesthetics Congress) to be held in Paris, France on October 12-13, 2012. As in 2011, this 5th edition will take place at Le Palais des Congrès, Porte Maillot, as we will be joint meeting of the EMAA organised by Euromedicom, one of the largest meeting in aesthetic medicine and surgery with more than 3000 attendees and 150 companies. Registration and abstract submission will have to be done on Euromedicom website. This meeting will be a multidisciplinary symposium covering all surgical, medical and paramedical fields of the Hand and Upper Limb aesthetics and unaesthetics, from Nails to Shoulder and from Reconstruction to Rejuvenation. Multidisciplinarity, innovation, excellence and international spirit are among the main goals of this unique symposium, pioneer worldwide in this new field of upper limb aesthetics since 2008. There will be around 300 attendees from across 5 continents, mainly plastic surgeons, hand surgeons, dermatologists, aesthetic physicians and rheumatologists. Paramedical staffs, scientists, technicians, artists and any physician or person with a special interest in the hand or upper limb aesthetics are also welcome. We have reduced this year the duration oft he symposium to one day and half, from Friday noon to Saturday afternoon, which allows attendees to travel on Friday morning. Selected topics for this edition are Hand aesthetics, Arm aesthetics, Regenerative surgery of the hand & upper limb, Dupuytren s disease, Hand scars, Hand Dermatology, The Elbow. There will also a session with live demos on skin-surface treatments and superficial injections for hand and arm rejuvenation. This meeting is of course open to free papers, topics are numerous, the deadline for abstract submission is June 30th, 2012. Around 30 prestigious international speakers will participate in these sessions ensuring a very high scientific level. We will do our utmost to ensure that this meeting takes place in a convivial and friendly atmosphere allowing fruitful exchanges of information.
