Page 3 / 16 1 GENERAL Always read the Safety Instructions chapter of these operating instructions before putting the heater into operation. Even loss of life and loss of property can result from nonobserving the following instructions or the valid national and international safety regulations. Installation, electrical connection, commissioning and maintenance are only to be carried out by authorised personnel and in accordance with requirements and current legislation. There should be enough space provided for a safe working on service and maintenance. 2 SAFETY 2.1 Safety instructions Caution: To avoid possible electrical shock, ensure the power is turned off before attempting to wire. All wiring must be in accordance with local electrical codes. This equipment requires a ground as precaution against electrical shock. Basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons. - Disconnect all power supplies before working on circuit. - Do not heat air containing combustible materials. - Mount heater out of reach. - Install at least 2ft. (61 cm) from fl oor except 40-60 kw at least 8 ft. (2.4 m) from fl oor. - Do not use outdoors. - Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater. - Do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. - Heater contains arcing and sparking parts. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or fl ammable liquids are used or stored. - Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. - Connect only to the voltage and frequency specified on the nameplate. - Wire used to connect to the heater should have insulation rated to at least 75 C. - Connections are to be made as shown on the wiring diagram

Page 4 / 16 - Check out the fuses carefully. Beware of the sufficient power and amperage. - A disconnecting means and ground must be provided in accordance with the National Electrical Code. - An optional integral thermostat may be installed to control heating element and fan. If so equipped, the thermostat range is approximately 55 F to 105 F. - Check out the contactor if it is working properly in threephase models. Hot Furface: The surface temperature of the heater may rise up to temperatures which will cause inquiry. Do not touch the surface while the heater is operating. In case of maintenance or contact must, wait at least 2 hours after the unit is disconnected for the unit cool down. 2.2. Correct use Heater will not operate. Make sure installation instructions and wiring diagram were followed. Disconnect switch or main circuit breaker may be in off position. Check for proper control voltage. Automatic or manual reset thermal cutout(s) may have opened due to overheating. Let unit cool before resetting manual cutouts. Determine and correct the cause for overheating. The unit is designed for heating air in closed areas. Do not intent to use the unit for other applications.

Page 7 / 16 4 OPERATING PRINCIPLE COMPONENTS LOUVERS: Louvers are discharge air deflectors, either adjustable or nonadjustable, that change or route the air flow HEATING COIL: convert electrical energy to heat by passing electrical current through a specifically designed resistance wire. Constructed of spiral wound resistance wire, surrounded by an insulating power, encased in a metal enclosure. Either Monophase or Threephase types can be provided upon by request. FAN (FAN BLADE): is a propeller type device, used to move the air through the unit heater. Unit heaters discussed in this manual are directly coupled to an electric motor. They are not belt driven. MOTOR:are permanently lubricated electrical devices that rotate the fan to move the heated air from the heater to the space. When the unit heater wattage is over loaded one or more CONTACTORS are employed to switch the electrical current to the elements and / or the motor. Usually a thermostat or fan delay will control when the contactor is energized. OVER TEMPERATURE LIMIT: is a normally closed temperature sensing device, located on or in close proximity to the element, designed into the heater to open f an abnormally hot condition occurs. Abnormally hot conditions are usually the result of a loss of moving air across the element. Frequent causes of over temperature limit opening are; blocked inlet or discharge, motor stoppage and loose fan. 5 APPLICATION AND INTENDED USE The units are designed for heating air in closed areas. Heaters can be mounted for horizontal or vertical air flow. Typical Application Areas: Factories Warehouses Garages Stores Power Stations and Aircraft Hangers Agricultural Barns Green Houses Industrial assembly areas Enclosed outside smoking areas. Wall type or ceiling mounting bracket for horizontal or vertical air flow or any position between.

Page 8 / 16 - Do not heat air containing combustible materials - Do not use outdoors - Heater contains arcing and sparking parts. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or fl ammable liquids are used or stored. - Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. 6 PACKAGING, HANDLING, STORAGE The units are packed in carton boxes and made ready for shipments on pallets. It is essential that great care is exercised when handling the unit. When handling the equipment, care should be taken with corners and edges and that the weight distribution within the unit is considered. The units should be stored indoors away from humidity. 7 COMMISSIONING For the first-commissioning it is recommended to use our specialist personnel 7.1. Installation HEATER LOCATION: Unit heaters should be located along outside walls to provide perimeter air circulation. The discharge air should wipe the walls without blowing directly on them. a. Small rooms - can be heated by one or two units. Locate the unit heater(s) to provide circular air movement within the space. b. Large rooms - requiring multiple unit installations. Units should be located so that the discharge air from one unit supports the discharge from another unit and provides a circular air movement.

Page 9 / 16 HORIZONTAL DISCHARGE: To ensure proper heating of floor surfaces, observe the following recommended mounting limitations Minimum recommended mounting height (to bottom of heater): 2meters Maximum recommended mounting height (to bottom of heater): 4,5meters Minimum clearance from walls and ceiling are (Z) : 250mm VERTICAL DISCHARGE: To ensure proper heating of floor surfaces, observe the following recommended mounting limitations X: 250mm Y: 250mm Z: 250mm KANALA MONTAJ YAZILABİLİR 7.2. Wiring and Electric Diagrams Connect the heater only to the voltage and frequency specifi ed on the nameplate. Rough-in branch circuit wiring to the heater using wire rated for 75 degrees C. Wire heater supply according to diagram in manual The unit is supplied with plugs, all wiring to be in accordance with local and national electric codes.

Page 12 / 16 7.3. First Start up and controls 1- Place the fan switch to ON position 2- Set the temperature control thermostat to a setting below the temperature 3- Energize the heater electrical supply circuit 4- The heater fan should come on but the heater should remain off 5- Place the fan switch to OFF position 6- The fan should go off 7- Set the temperature control thermostat to a setting above the current room temperature 8- The heater should come on and the fan should energize approx. 1-2 minutes. If the room temperature is high or the heater is mounted too close to ceieling or walls the unitmay cycle on the thermal high limits of the motor and/or heater 9- Check out and repost any unusual or questionable operating characteristics, such as noise, vibration..etc 10- Set the fan switch and temperature control on desired operating positions 7.4. Operation 1- Before the unit is energized, the discharge louvers should be be adjusted for desired air deflection 2- Perform the operation steps for the applicable temperature control option 2- Place all switches in their normal operating position and place the unit heater in service. 8 SPARE PARTS All replacements must be factory supplied to ensure safe heater operation. assumes no liability for and provides no warranty against damage arising from the use of non-original spare parts and accessories.
