The Environment and Urban Studies Master Program is an interdisciplinary program which considers environmental and social urban problems as a result of interaction between the city and the surrounding environment and offers a holistic approach that involves a variety of sciences in the environmental and humanities fields. Program Description Food industry competition has already crossed national borders. The globalization of the food system is evident from the changes in the food supply chain. This is visible from the procurement of raw materials, food production, finished products, product marketing, and to national as well as international distribution. Because of this, the supply chain is longer and more complex in terms of its geographical distance and supply specialization. This change is in line with the increase of consumer demands for the quality and the safety of food products. Therefore, to continually survive and develop in global competition, the only option for food producers is to achieve the excellence of food quality and safety. Nowadays, there has been a demand for the food industry to make new safe and secure food products. To contribute actively in achieving the excellence of food safety and quality in Indonesia, the Masters Program of aims to develop excellent food safety and quality, which match the needs of food industry, policy makers, and food consumers.
