Overview Vembu BDR TM protect your entire infrastructure, be it virtual, physical or hybrid. Vembu BDR TM provides physical and virtual environments and infrastructure. For an IT manager, predicting a disaster is always challenging. The market demands a robust BDR TM. Vembu BDR TM is an on premise backup software with the option to replicate backup data to Vembu cloud and is hosted by Amazon Web Services. 4
Deployment Architecture Vembu BDR TM v3.0 Vembu BDR TM v3.0 provides scalable backup infrastructure which supports backup data of any size, starting from home machines to enterprise level. Choosing individual installation components of Vembu BDR TM v3.0 depends on environment based IT. However core components like Backup server and Client/Proxy are to be installed anyway. Additional components like Explorer for Granular Recovery is optional one and this can be installed based on the user needs. The following components will be installed with the package: Vembu Client/Proxy Vembu Client/Proxy - Vembu Client/Proxy is a transport software, which sits on the source location and used to process the source data. Vembu Client/Proxy retrieves the data from the source location and compresses/de-duplicates, encrypts and delivers it to the Vembu Backup server s storage repository. Proxy client (for Virtual environment like VMware) Depending on your backup architecture, Vembu BDR TM v3.0 backup proxy can automatically choose the best transport mode to process the data. Backup proxy can use any one of the following data transport modes, SAN, Hotadd mode and Network depending on your infrastructure. Vembu Backup Server Vembu BDR TM Backup server receives backup data from the client agents (Vembu Proxies/ Client agents) and stores the data. The backup server has a repository of storages attached where the backup data from the client agents is stored. The data received from the client agent is subjected to high level compression, deduplication and federally acclaimed AES 256 bit encryption. As Vembu BDR TM is architectured to store backups in a simple peer to peer communication, security is our prime concern. We have therefore bundled the software so that it automates itself by providing a secure platform for backups and storage resilience. Explorer for Granular Recovery Explorer for Exchange Granular Recovery Vembu Explorer is a intuitive wizard based utility that performs granular recovery for applications like Exchange, Active Directory, SQL server and Sharepoint. This wizard allows you to browse or search emails, contacts, tables, documents and users directly from your backup storage repositories and the data is compressed/de-duplicated. Explorer to perform Exchange Granular Recovery 1. A dedicated web-portal to explore mailbox items like emails, contacts directly from your backup storage without restoring the data. 2. Single click option to perform direct restore to your exchange server or Export your emails as pst. 3. Explorer to perform SQL Granular Recovery Vembu Explorer for SQL server recovery enables IT admins to stay on promised RTO's and RPO's. level recovery in SQL database restores at any of the following levels. Database Table At your production server in any matter of time or export it to remote SQL server Explorer to perform AD 1. Explore and restore individual objects or entire containers directly to your AD, or export to remote AD. 2. Explore and recover user and computer account passwords. 3. This option not only provides failover but can also bring back your VM from your DR server to your production server in no time.
