I have specialized in women s issues especially past trauma. I also have had extensive experience and expertise in working with Axis II disorders. Modalities include both individual, marital and group therapy. My orientation continues to be multi-theoretical including psychodynamic, cognitive/behavioral, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, systemic/family and motivational therapy. 1981 to present - Clinical Faculty Department of Psychiatry University of North Dakota Medical School I teach the group therapy segment of the required residency curriculum. I developed on online course as well as a practicum. 1990 to 1994 Program Director for The Alliance for Sexual Abuse Prevention and Treatment In partnership with the Children s Division of the ND Department of Human Services, I created a program designed to coordinate and train sexual abuse services across the state. I worked with law enforcement, lawyers, medical personnel as well as counselors. 1989 to 1991 Instructor and North Dakota State University

North Dakota State University Fargo, North Dakota 58102 I taught a graduate level course entitled Victims of Sexual Assault to counseling and psychology graduate students. 1986 to 1994 Clinical/Program Supervisor As clinical and program supervisor my responsibilities included supervision of all case activities for counseling and adoption programs, program development, budget maintenance and staff management 1979 to 1983 Instructor at Concordia College Concordia College Moorhead, Minnesota I taught Social Policy, Human Behavior in the Social Environment, and Introduction to Social Work. Because of an accreditation process, I was also involved in program design and curriculum planning. 1976 to 1979 Psychiatric Social Worker Dakota Hospital 1720 South University Drive Fargo, ND I was the psychiatric social worker on a psychiatric liaison team which was part of the psychiatric residency training program. My responsibilities included family assessments, supportive psychotherapy, discharge planning, and follow-up services. 1975 to 1994 Clinical Social Worker I had always maintained a part time counseling practice treating adults with a variety of problems using individual, group and family therapy modalities. As a result of community demand and national awareness, I developed an incest treatment program. The program was innovative for its time. I was asked to present nationally on the program and its results. 1975 to 1978 Coordinator of Child Placement Services

As the director of a statewide adoption program my responsibilities included supervision of case work activities; administration of federally subsidized special needs adoption program; representation of the program on local, state and national levels; and staff supervision. In addition I was responsible for direct casework with families and children. 1974 to 1975 Social Worker Groveland Social Services 310 Groveland Avenue As a group home social worker for delinquent adolescent females my responsibilities include individual, group and family counseling; liaison work with community agencies such as the juvenile court and community schools; follow-up, planning and referral; and supervision of all group home staff members. 1974 to 1975 Psychiatric Social Worker Intern Hennepin County Mental Health 5 th and Portland On the inpatient and outpatient units I worked with a range of pathology including acute and chronic schizophrenia, alcoholism and antisocial behavior. My responsibilities included intake assessments as well as individual and family treatment. 1973 to 1974 Social Worker Intern Hennepin County Welfare 407 South 4 th Street My responsibilities on the Child Protection Unit included evaluating family functioning, family therapy, referral to appropriate community agencies, and advocacy for clients with community agencies. 1972 to 1973 Research Assistant Student Counseling Bureau University of Minnesota Responsibilities included supervision of the classification, maintenance and use of a research retrieval system. I also functioned as a resource counselor for the reading and study skills center.
