History Following on the heels of the Motor Carrier Act of 1980 that deregulated the trucking industry and the introduction of the first PCs around the same time, Tom Weisz founded TMW Systems in 1983 - seizing the opportunity to combine his passion for trucking and technology. From its inception, TMW has leveraged the hands-on transportation industry expertise of its management team to develop technology solutions that give customers control and visibility for better management of their business. In 2005, TMW was acquired by Wachovia Capital Partners and PepperTree Capital Management. One year later, TMW acquired Maddocks Systems, Inc of Vancouver, BC - Canada's largest provider of trucking software. In May of 2007, TMW acquired TMT Software Company. Based in Durham, NC, TMT is the leading provider of fleet maintenance software. In September of the same year, TMW completed its acquisition of Integrated Decision Support Corporation, an industry-recognized leader in transport optimization technology. Management Team David Wangler President & CEO As president and chief executive officer of TMW Systems, Inc., David Wangler leads the largest provider of enterprise software to the trucking and logistics industry. His move to TMW in early 2006 proved to be a natural fit. With more than 20 years experience in supply chain and software manufacturing, Wangler is recognized for his vision, business acumen and his ability to create unique yet functional business synergies. Under his leadership and in fewer than 48 months, TMW acquired four complementary companies Maddocks Systems, TMT Software, Integrated Decision Support Corporation (IDSC) and Innovative Computing Corporation (ICC). The expansion positions TMW as a leader in the marketplace with a full portfolio of integrated enterprise transportation software (ETS), fleet maintenance and fuel optimization solutions. Prior to joining TMW, Wangler held executive management posts in th US and abroad for SupplyWorks Inc., now a part of Made2Manage Systems, BAAN, SKYVA International and Wonderware Corporation. David Mook Chief Operating Officer/Chief Technology Officer David Mook, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer, joined TMW Systems in 1987. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and attended Case Western Reserve University Law School. Mook was one of the original developers of TMW s foundation products. Over the years he has held numerous positions at TMW, including VP of International Business, VP of New Business Development and VP of Product Development. Jeffrey Ritter Chief Financial Officer As CFO of TMW Systems, Jeff Ritter manages all financial aspects of the company, greatly contributing to TMW s fiscal strength and escalated growth over the last five years. He plays a crucial role in developing strategic annual operational and long-term financial plans for each of the company s product groups. Ritter joined TMW Systems in 1999 and brings to his position nearly 20 years of financial services experience, including KPMG Peat Marwick, where he specialized in international manufacturers and financial service clients, ITS, Inc., where he managedthe domestic and international expansion of the company from $32 million in revenue to $120 million within a four-year period. David Schildmeyer Senior Vice President, Sales Schildmeyer is responsible for the sales operations across all lines of business at TMW. Prior to joining TMW in 2002, Schildmeyer was Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, at Regulus Integated Solutions, an $80 million technology provider to the banking, utility and communications industries. As Managing Director with Cincom Systems, a Top 100 software company, Schildmeyer had P&L responsibility for the $45 million ERP division and managed senior-level client relationships with Fortune 500 corporations throughout North America and Europe.
Mike August Vice President and General Manager, TMW Optimization Software August brings to TMW over 25 years of experience in organizational and business development. He has hands-on experience with more than 40 merger and acquisition transactions for both large and small companies, including BAAN/ SSA GLOBAL, AnswerPort and Computer Science Corporation. In addition to his merger and integration experience, August has served as Chie Operating Officer of a large enterprise software company and Vice President of several large professional services organizations. August holds master s degrees from the University of St. Thomas, the University of Wisconsin, and a BS in Organizational Development from Rhode Island College. Randall Burrell Senior Vice President and General Manager, TruckMate Burrell oversees the research and development, professional services and customer support organization for TruckMate as General Manager. Prior to TMW, Burrell built his carrier at Maddocks Systems, which he joined in 1985. He was instrumental in developing new territories and products and in 1995, he was promoted to the role of VP Sales and Marketing. Burrell initiated new marketing directions for TruckMate,including entry into the US market. In late 2004, Burrell took on the role of Chief Operating Officer for Maddocks Systems. Monica Truelsch Director of Marketing Truelsch is responsible for TMW s messaging, public relations, advertising and product marketing. She joined TMW in 2004. Before joining TMW, Truelsch was the Sales and Marketing Manager for the High Tech High Temp business group of GrafTech International and the Vice President of Software Sales for the Americas at Alpha Technologies LLC, where she developed domestic and international business. Scott Vanselous Senior Vice President and General Manager, TMW Asset Maintenance Software As General Manager of TMW Asset Maintenance Software, Vanselous oversees all day-to-day activities for development, support and professional services with TMT Fleet Maintenance and TMT ServiceCenter solutions. He joined TMW from Oracle where he was Director, Travel and Transportation Industry Business Unit focusing on the logistics, trucking, rail and maritime industries. Prior to that, he spent nearly three years with DHL first as Vice President, Marketing and Strategic Alliances, then as VP of Americas Global Supply Chain Outsourcing. Vanselous brings more than 20 years of industry experience and holds an established track record as a strategist and innovator in transportation, supply chain management and logistics. Ray West Vice President and GM, Innovative Software; General Manager, TL2000 Software With a 20-year track record in the transportation software industry, West is responsible for TL2000 operations as well as overseeing product management for all of TMW. After service in the Marine Corps, West was instrumental in founding privately held companies, including Thoroughbred Systems, which developed mobile communications and dispatching software. THE DAWG The DAWG is a browser-based or native IBM i exception-monitoring application that provides companies with transportation-specific business alerts or lets them customize their own for unique events.
