Meet Our Speakers... Ariele Belo: Ariele is a native of Seattle and alumna of the Hearing, Speech & Deafness Center s Parent-Infant Program (a birth to three program for Deaf & Hard of Hearing children and their families). She received her Bachelor of Science in Leisure Studies and Recreation from California State University and a Contract Management Certificate from the University of Washington. Ariele has held the position of Director of Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services at HSDC for since 2002. She supervises staff within the program in Seattle, Tacoma, and Bellingham. Steve Bogen: Vice-President, Care-Finders Insurance Recovery Inc.: Steve is in charge negotiating settlements, reversal of claims denials and reinstatement of lapsed insurance policies for all kinds of insurance, with the emphasis on long term care, disability and auto insurance. Certified with Washington D.S.H.S. to provide 1 credit hour of continuing education. Judge Jeanette Dalton: Judge Dalton graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor's in Business Administration Degree. She later earned her J.D. from the University of Puget Sound School of Law and was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1984. During her career, she taught continuing legal education courses and in-house continuing education courses to Deputy Prosecutors and attorneys. She has served on the Washington State Bar Association's Rules Committee and most recently has served for many years as an Executive Board member of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys where she was awarded the President's Award for Distinguished Service to the Organization. David Grout, CPG: David Grout is a real estate broker with AllPro Real Estate in Seattle. His primary focus is on Fiduciary real estate transactions, i.e. Guardianship/Trust/Probate real estate sales, and Court Appointment transactions. Since leaving Partners In Care, he has continued his real estate brokerage assisting Guardianship agencies and Elder Law firms in the Puget Sound Region with their real estate needs. David Haack: David began his journey in Long-Term Care 27 years ago in the dietary department of a skilled nursing community. During a brief sabbatical he acquired his Nursing License and worked as a nurse. In 1991 he moved to Seattle, Washington, where he worked with several of the leading providers in the Skilled Nursing Community. In 1994 he began his career in LTC Institutional Pharmacy Services, and since then has spearheaded both regional and national programs for controlling cost in delivery of medication services. He has recently joined Living Care Lifestyles a senior housing development company as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Catherine Fisher: Catherine is the Financial Unit Manager at the Aging and Long-Term Supports Administration (ALTSA) under the Department of Social and Health Services. She started in this position in July 2013 and has primary responsibility for long-term care Medicaid policy, training and systems development. In addition she manages the statewide long-term care specialty medical team that processes eligibility determinations for clients of the Developmental Disabilities Administration, hospice and the Healthcare for Workers with Disabilities program; and she manages the Home & Community Services document management unit that receives and processes all mail and documents received by the department.

Meet Our Speakers... Deborah Jameson, Attorney: Deborah is a graduate of Edinboro University and the University of San Diego School of Law. She was the King County Guardian ad Litem for Title 11 cases from March 2003 to November 2007 and worked at the Administrative Office of the Courts from November 2007 to November 2011. While at the AOC, she was the investigator for guardian grievances. In 2009, she took on the additional role of Guardian Program Coordinator for the Certified Professional Guardian Board. She is an associate attorney with Neil & Neil, P.S. Her practice is focused in the areas of guardianship, trust, and probate administration. She is on the GAL Registry for Pierce and Thurston Counties. She is a certified mediator and a collaborative law attorney. Chris Neil, Attorney & CPG: Christopher E. Neil is a principal with the law firm of Neil & Neil, P.S. His law practice is focused in the areas of guardianship, trust, and probate administration. He is a Washington State Certified Professional Guardian and serves on the Board of Directors of Pacific Guardianship Services as a professional guardian and trustee. He was recently appointed to the Pierce County Superior Court, Court-Commissioner s Liaison Committee. Melissa Rivera: Melissa has 18 years working with DSHS determining eligibility for the cash and food programs to case managing TANF clients to supervising staff at the Renton CSO prior to accepting a job with the Health Care Authority in 2013. She was excited to be a part of the Affordable Care Act and participate in the training of the Community Based Organizations on how to apply for health care coverage in the Washington Healthplanfinder. She is a Policy Representative for Central West Washington the includes the counties of Clallam, Jefferson, Kitsap, Mason and Pierce. Lori Rolley: Lori Rolley is the Financial Policy Analyst for the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), Aging and Long Term Support Administration (ALTSA). She started working for DSHS in Spokane as a college intern in 1977. In 1980 Lori started working primarily with the Institutional and SSI related programs at Medical Assistance Administration (now called Health Care Authority) and Home and Community Services in Olympia. She is the program lead for Chapter 182-513 WAC (Institutional), Chapter 182-515 WAC (Home and Community Based Waiver), Chapter 182-516 WAC (Trusts, Annuities and Life Estates). Lee Smart, P.S., Inc: William L. Cameron, Shareholder; Mary DePaolo Haddad, Of Counsel; Jackie L. Jensen, Associate. Lee Smart, P.S., Inc. began in 1913 as an insurance defense firm and the firm continues to pride itself on offering cost-effective service to companies and individuals in the area of civil litigation defense. The majority of their practice is litigation and they engage in general civil and trial practice in state and federal courts throughout Washington, as well as in administrative proceedings. Because of this, the lawyers possess a wealth of experience actually trying cases that many other firms cannot offer.
