REALITY CHECK SAT RANGE, 25 TH -75 TH PERCENTILE FOR ENROLLED STUDENTS AT VARIOUS SELECTIVE UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES NATIONWIDE Data based on college Class of 2014 (entered college Fall 2010) and include only those students who ENROLLED at each individual school, NOT all students who applied NOR all students who were accepted. Those schools that reported all three sections of the SAT for The Common Data set are in italics. Otherwise, numbers in brackets are PROJECTED SAT totals for three scales, calculated by doubling the Critical Reading section and adding this to the Math section. Normative data released by The College Board in summer 2010 indicated that the average score for students on the Writing section of the SAT is 492 nationwide. This is roughly commensurate with the national average for Critical Reading (501); consequently, the extrapolation of Writing scores to form a three part total is based on the assumption that the range of Writing results will be parallel to the range of scores from the Critical Reading section SOURCE: The Common Data Set 2010-11, The College Board Agnes Scott College (GA) 1070-1320 [1620-1970]## American University (DC) 1170-1370 [1750-2060] Amherst College (MA) 1340-1540 [2020-2310] Auburn University (AL) 1100-1310 [1630-1950] Austin College (TX) 1130-1350 [1670-2000] Babson College (MA) 1170-1340 [1740-2000] Bard College (NY) 1350-1420 [2030-2160]## Barnard College (NY) 1250-1430 [1900-2180] Bates College (ME) 1240-1410 [1880-2130]## Baylor University (TX) 1110-1320 [1640-1960] Beloit College (WI) 1190-1380 [1760-2180]++ Bennington College (VT) 1140-1390 [1740-2100]## Bentley University (MA) 1120-1300 [1660-1930] Berry College (GA) 1060-1270 [1580-1880] Binghamton University (NY) 1200-1370 [1770-2030] Birmingham Southern College (AL) 1050-1280 [1560-1910] Boston College (MA) 1250-1430 [1880-2150] Boston University (MA) 1180-1370 [1770-2050] Bowdoin College (ME) 1310-1500 [1970-2250]## Brandeis University (MA) 1270-1460 [1910-2180] Brigham Young University (UT) 1150-1370 [1720-2050] Brown University (RI) 1330-1530 [2000-2300] Bryant University (RI) 1040-1230 [1550-1820]## Bryn Mawr College (PA) 1170-1420 [1770-2120]++ Bucknell University (PA) 1220-1380 [1820-2070] Butler University (IN) 1050-1250 [1560-1860] California Institute of Technology 1460-1570 [2140-2340] California Polytechnic at San Luis Obispo 1120-1320 [1640-1960] Calvin College (MI) 1050-1320 [1560-1970] Carleton College (MN) 1300-1500 [1950-2240]
