2 Future Focus is a college and career readiness program designed to equip high school and college students with the necessary skills to succeed in college and in the workplace. Sessions are taught by Accenture facilitators and corporate volunteers from local, national, and international organizations and businesses. The Future Focus Summer Internship is an opportunity for recent high school graduates to be placed in a paid summer internship that fits their career interests. Students gain hands-on skills and experience in a supervised environment that fosters their growth, develops them professionally, and encourages their participation. 3 Eduardo Sesatty High School Alumni Counselor The KIPP College Partners Network provides our High School KIPPsters with allexpenses paid summer programs. These opportunities are spots that our College Partners reserve on their existing summer camps or at specific KIPP Camp for our KIPPsters. Students can take college courses, participate in extracurricular activities, and receive college preparation.

4 KIPP collaborates with 60, and counting, colleges to support KIPPsters with college access, affordability, and academics. A number of partner colleges have also committed to meet the full financial need of our KIPPsters. A college partnership is an agreement between KIPP and a college to develop programs, projects, and activities that address challenges in college persistence for students from low income families who are also, often, first generation college students. Why form college partnerships? College partnerships are key to increasing our students college completion rates. KIPP partners with schools that more likely to help our students graduate and promotes these colleges because of their proven record to graduate their students. This is turn, increases our KIPPsters college completion rates. Do all partnerships guarantee full financial aid? No. While some of the partners have committed to meet the full financial aid package, others are unable to provide that level of funding and instead provide KIPP-specific scholarships. Are KIPPsters automatically accepted to these KIPP College Partners? No. KIPPsters must meet all regular entry requirements for each college. Though there are certain added benefits for being KIPPsters once they are accepted What distinctions are there among the partnerships? Partnerships are national or regional. National partnerships are formed with schools that attract KIPPsters from across the country whereas regional partnerships serve KIPPsters from one or two nearby regions. What is involved in a College Partnership? An enrollment target A point of contact at the college Support in college access, admissions, affordability, and student support What plans are there for expanding the list of KIPP College Partners? In the past year, KIPP Foundation worked with Houston, NYC, DC and the Bay Area to form national and regional partnerships and those regions will establish additional regional partnerships. KIPP Foundation is working with another five regions to form 3-5 additional regional partnerships in each region. After the first year, each region will increase the number of regional partnerships by one or two each year, with a wide range and variety of national and regional colleges. Do we expect all our students to attend KIPP Partner Colleges? No. Although the number of partner schools across the country will certainly grow, the KIPP through College team has tools and resources to match students to the right school.
