When secure operation is desired, order the ADD: MCC 7500 Secure Operation License option (CA00147AF) and from 1 to 6 encryption algorithm options (CA00143AC, CA00144AC, CA00145AC, CA00146AC, CA00182AB or CA00245AA). A particular type of encryption algorithm may only be ordered once with a particular VPM. That is, up to 6 algorithms may be ordered with a VPM, but they must all be different algorithms. If remote secure key management across the radio system's IP network from a KMF is desired, order the ADD: Over The Ethernet Keying (OTEK) Operation License option (CA01220AA). The TKN8531C cable is used to connect a KVL to a VPM for programming/managing secure key material. The Peripherals The peripherals are the items which provide interfaces between the VPM and the external environment. These are: Speaker (B1912) - Max of 8 per VPM Desktop Microphone (B1914) - Max of 1 per VPM Headset Jack (B1913) - Max of 2 per VPM Footswitch (DSTWIN6328A) - Max of 1 per VPM The speakers, microphone, headset jacks and footswitch are optional depending on the customer s needs. Each MCC 7500 dispatch console requires 1 and only 1 VPM. The VPM is 1 Rack Unit high and is capable of being mounted in a 19" rack. It may also be mounted beneath a writing surface or placed on top of a writing surface. Mounting hardware is included with the VPM. Each VPM requires an AC line cord option (CA00140AA, AB, AC or AF). Ordering information for the VPM is provided in the Models, Options and Accessories sections below. While other headsets may work, Motorola cannot guarantee the quality of the audio, especially dispatcher transmit audio, if they are used. Order the desired dropship items for each dispatch console. Use the links next to the items above to see the ECAT Pages for them. They may also be ordered for use as spares. Software and Software Refresh Items The software used on the dispatch console is available for purchase via the model and options shown below. The MCC 7500 ASTRO 25 Software (B1905) is a CD which contains the application software for both the dispatch console and the archiving interface server. The two refresh license options (CA00899AA and CA00900AA) provide licenses for using new versions of the dispatch console or archiving interface server software. These items may be used in the following scenarios. Buying a New Console System The dispatch consoles and archiving interface servers come with the appropriate software installed on their computer hard disks, but they do not come with a copy of the software on CD or DVD. It is strongly suggested that at least one MCC 7500 ASTRO 25 Software model (B1905) be ordered for each console system as a backup copy. It is not necessary to order either of the software refresh license options when buying a new console system. They are used when upgrading an existing console system. Upgrading an Existing MCC 7500 Console System Upgrade an existing Motorola MCC 7500 console system to the latest version of software as follows. Order the desired number of MCC 7500 ASTRO 25 Software models (B1905) (at least one is required, but more may be ordered if the customer wants them) Order one ADD: Dispatch Console Software Refresh License option (CA00899AA) for each dispatch console being upgraded Order one ADD: Archiving Interface Server Software Refresh License option (CA00900AA) for each archiving interface server being upgraded The two software refresh license options provide licenses for using the new versions of the dispatch console or archiving interface server software. They must be ordered as sub-items to the MCC 7500 ASTRO 25 Software model. The quantities of the software refresh license options may (and most likely will) exceed the quantity of the main model. Note that the version of software used in the dispatch consoles and AISs must match the versions of software in all the other products in the radio system (zone controller, network manager, CCGWs, Aux I/O servers, etc.). It is usually not possible to upgrade just the dispatch consoles and AISs themselves. Buying Additional Copies of the Software
Motorola MCC 7500 Products \ MCC 7500 Dispatch Consoles mk:@msitstore:c:\users\case02\documents\ecat_dup_feb_2015\ecat.chm::/ast7500... Page 6 of 14 If a customer wishes to have additional copies of the dispatch console or archiving interface server software, then the MCC 7500 ASTRO 25 Software model (B1905) may be ordered by itself. Adding Operational Licenses to Fielded Dispatch Consoles and AISs The following licenses are for use with fielded MCC 7500 dispatch consoles and archiving interface servers. The BLN1316 and BLN1317 are used only with customers who are either converting a SmartX Site Converter VPM into a MCC 7500 VPM or who are using FRUs to build a MCC 7500 dispatch console or archiving interface server. The rest of the licenses are used when adding the indicated functionality to a fielded dispatch console or archiving interface server, when converting a SmartX Site Converter VPM into a MCC 7500 VPM or when using FRUs to build a MCC 7500 dispatch console or archiving interface server. Note that the CA01221AA and CA01221AB options are the equivalent of the BLN1316 + BLN1311 + BLN1312, so these do not need to be ordered if the CA01221AA or CA01221AB was ordered with the original dispatch console. Note also that the CA00288AA and CA00288AB options are the equivalent of the BLN1317, so it does not need to be ordered if the CA00288AA or CA00288AB was ordered with the original archiving interface server. Adding Basic Dispatch Operation to a Dispatch Console being built from a Converted SmartX VPM or a VPM FRU Field-assembled VPM-based dispatch consoles can add the licensing for basic console operation by ordering the Basic Console Operation Field-Add License (BLN1316) for each dispatch console being assembled in the field. Adding AIS Software License to an AIS being built from a Converted SmartX VPM or a VPM FRU Field-assembled VPM-based archiving interface servers can add the AIS license by ordering the AIS Software Field- Add License (BLN1317) for each archiving interface server being assembled in the field. Adding Secure Operation Existing dispatch consoles and archiving interface servers can add the licensing for secure operation by ordering the Secure Operation Field-Add License (BLN1304) for each dispatch console and/or archiving interface server that needs the feature. Note that this license does not provide any required hardware or encryption algorithms. They must be ordered separately. Adding OTEK Operation MCC 7500 dispatch consoles and archiving interface servers can support Over the Ethernet Keying (OTEK) operation beginning in the 7.7 system release. Existing systems that are 7.7 or later can add the licensing for OTEK operation by ordering the Over the Ethernet Keying (OTEK) Operation Field-Add License (BLN1302) for each dispatch console and/or archiving interface server that needs the feature. Adding Trunking Operation Existing dispatch consoles can add the licensing for trunking operation by ordering the MCC 7500 Trunking Operation Field-Add License (BLN1311) for each dispatch console that needs the feature. Adding Advanced Conventional Operation Existing dispatch consoles can add the licensing for advanced conventional operation by ordering the MCC 7500 Advanced Conventional Operation Field-Add License (BLN1312) for each dispatch console that needs the feature. Adding Inbound Event Display Operation Existing dispatch consoles can add the licensing for IED operation by ordering the MCC 7500 Inbound Event Display (IED) Operation Field-Add License (BLN1313) for each dispatch console that needs the feature. Adding or Upgrading Encryption Algorithms on VPM-Based Dispatch Consoles and AISs using a KVL 3000 Plus If a customer wishes to add new encryption algorithms to existing secure-capable VPM-based MCC 7500 dispatch consoles and/or archiving interface servers using a KVL 3000 Plus KVL, the MCC 7500 VPM Secure Algorithm Upgrade (T7583) should be ordered along with the desired algorithm options. This provides PCMCIA cards containing the desired numbers and types of encryption algorithms. The PCMCIA card is then used in conjunction with a KVL 3000 Plus Key Variable Loader (KVL) to add the algorithms to secure cards. The MCC 7500 VPM Secure Algorithm Upgrade may also be used to upgrade encryption algorithms to the latest versions in existing secure-capable VPM-based MCC 7500 dispatch consoles and/or archiving interface servers.
Motorola MCC 7500 Products \ MCC 7500 Dispatch Consoles mk:@msitstore:c:\users\case02\documents\ecat_dup_feb_2015\ecat.chm::/ast7500... Page 7 of 14 Order one algorithm option for each VPM that is being upgraded. For example, to add the ADP algorithm to three VPMs, order one T7583 with three CA00245AA options. Multiple types of algorithm options may not be ordered on the same T7583. For example, to add the DES-OFB and AES algorithms to twenty-four VPMs, order two T7583s with twenty-four CA00143AC options on one and twenty-four CA00182AB options on the other. The T7583 can support up to 100 copies of any single algorithm option. When adding algorithms to a VPM on a 7.7 system, make sure the VPM has the 7.7 SER or later version of software (VPM_R7.7.00.23). Earlier versions of the 7.7 VPM software do not allow algorithms to be added in the field. Contact Upgrade Operations to obtain the 7.7 SER software. VPMs on 7.8 and later systems do not have any special software version requirements. Adding or Upgrading Encryption Algorithms on VPM-Based Dispatch Consoles and AISs using a KVL 4000 If a customer wishes to add new encryption algorithms to existing secure-capable VPM-based MCC 7500 dispatch consoles and/or archiving interface servers using a KVL 4000 KVL, the MCC 7500 VPM Secure Algorithm Upgrade for KVL 4000 (T8063) should be ordered along with the desired algorithm options. This provides a CD containing the desired numbers and types of encryption algorithms. The CD is then used in conjunction with a KVL 4000 Key Variable Loader (KVL) to add the algorithms to secure cards. The KVL 4000 keyloader must have at least the R02.05.03 (also listed as 1.3.0000.174) version of software to be able to load algorithms in VPMs. Note: The serial number of the KVL 4000 keyloader must be entered into the ordering system when ordering the T8063. This serial number will be loaded on the CD by the factory. The CD can only be used by the keyloader with the matching serial number. The MCC 7500 VPM Secure Algorithm Upgrade may also be used to upgrade encryption algorithms to the latest versions in existing secure-capable VPM-based MCC 7500 dispatch consoles and/or archiving interface servers. Order one algorithm option for each VPM that is being upgraded. For example, to add the ADP algorithm to three VPMs, order one T8063 with three CA00245AA options. Multiple types of algorithm options may not be ordered on the same T8063. For example, to add the DES-OFB and AES algorithms to twenty-four VPMs, order two T8063s with twenty-four CA00143AC options on one and twenty-four CA00182AB options on the other. The T8063 can support up to 100 copies of any single algorithm option. Adding or Upgrading Encryption Algorithms on non-vpm-based Dispatch Consoles and AISs The MCC 7500 Secure Card Algorithm Upgrade (T7207) is a PCMCIA card which can be programmed with the desired encryption algorithm (CA00143AC, CA00145AC, CA00182AB or CA00245AA) for upgrading or adding a new algorithm to a customer's fielded GPIOM-based MCC 7500 dispatch console or voice/secure-card-based AIS. One encryption algorithm option is required per dispatch console and/or AIS being upgraded or added. Only one type of algorithm option may be ordered per T7207. If upgrading or adding multiple types of algorithms, then multiple T7207s must be ordered. This is illustrated in the following examples. Example 1 - If 3 dispatch consoles and 1 AIS each have the AES and DES-OFB algorithms and it is desired to upgrade the AES algorithms, then 1 T7207 and 4 CA00182AB options are required. (Since the DES-OFB algorithm isn't being upgraded, no options are required for it.)

Page 8 of 14 Example 2 - If 24 dispatch console and 3 AISs each need to have the ADP algorithm added to them, then 1 T7207 and 27 CA00245AA options are required. (It doesn't matter what algorithms are already in the dispatch consoles and AISs.) Example 3 - If 10 dispatch consoles need to have both the AES and the ADP algorithm added to them, then 1 T7207 with 10 CA00182AB (AES) options and 1 T7207 with 10 CA00245AA (ADP) options are required. The desired number of encryption algorithm options are ordered as sub-items to the T7207 Note that if you are adding a B1924 Secure Card to the dispatch position, remember to order the following items for each card being installed. These items are available directly from the Radio Products and Services Division (RPSD, formerly AAD). 3085322Y01 - H.100 Cable (connects voice card and secure card together; one required per dispatch position) 0785669Y01 - Secure Card Support Bracket (used to support the secure card inside the PC; one required per secure card) 0310943J15 - Support Bracket Screws (used to fasten the support bracket to the PC chassis, two required per support bracket) Dispatch API Software Development Kit The Software Development Kit (SDK) for the MCC 7500 Dispatch API requires a license agreement to be executed between the software developer and Motorola Solutions. The license agreement, and instructions for completing it, can be found on the MCC 7500 wiki page. After the license agreement has been signed by both parties, an invoice will be issued for payment of the license fee ($250.00). After payment has been received, the SDK will be shipped to the developer. The B1925 is no longer used to order the SDK. Please note that the licensing process typically takes around 8 weeks to complete. Please plan accordingly. The SDK is required when a customer wishes to use the MCC 7500 Dispatch API to allow 3rd party software to communicate with the MCC 7500 dispatch console or if they wish to use a custom graphical user interface (GUI) on the dispatch console. The right to use the Dispatch API is covered by the console software license (CA01221AA, CA01221AB, CA01222AA or CA01642AA) which must be purchased with each dispatch console, so no additional licenses are required. Technical support for the SDK may be ordered using the QLN3437 Field Add MCC 7500 SDK Technical Support which provides one hour of technical support. Multiple quantities of the QLN3437 may be ordered if more than one hour of support is desired. The QLN3437 is a "billing only" item (a BB item) and therefore must be on a factory order by itself. Note that if the QLN3437 is not ordered, no plant technical support will be provided for the software developers using the SDK. Enhanced Console Telephony Media Gateways IMPORTANT NOTICE! Orders for the media gateways described below currently cannot be fulfilled by Motorola Solutions. All orders containing either of these gateways will go on E3 hold while Supply Chain works to resolve this issue. But the resolution will only allow these media gateways to be sold within the USA; they will not be able to be sold in any other country. Customers in other countries who need these gateways will have to purchase them from Cisco or one of their authorized resellers. Motorola MCC 7500 Products \ MCC 7500 Aux I/O Items mk:@msitstore:c:\users\case02\documents\ecat_dup_feb_2015\ecat.chm::/cc2con... Page 1 of 4 Motorola MCC 7500 Dispatch Console -- Auxiliary Input/Output Items -- Ship Card The Motorola MCC 7500 Dispatch Console is a high tier IP dispatch console for use with ASTRO 25 radio systems. It supports an evolving feature set which includes the following features. Overview Auxiliary inputs and outputs (Aux I/Os) allow customers to control external devices via relay closures and sense the state of external devices via input buffers from the dispatch position. The Motorola MCC 7500 and MCC 7100 consoles support Aux I/Os by accessing and controlling SDM 3000 Basic RTUs and displaying the status of the RTUs inputs and outputs on the dispatch position graphical user interface (GUI). The graphical user interface displays the inputs and outputs by using the same icons that are used with inputs and outputs on CENTRACOM Gold Series dispatch positions. A separate GUI to display the RTU inputs and outputs is not required on the dispatch position. Multiple dispatch positions may monitor and control the same relay output and/or external inputs. In this case, state changes are indicated across all dispatch positions simultaneously. Individual relay outputs can be configured so that they require a safety switch to be pressed before they respond to any commands from the dispatcher. A relay output on one dispatch position can be protected by a safety switch while the same relay output on a different dispatch position isn t. The resetting of latched inputs may also be protected by using the safety switch. Supported Aux I/O Types The following Aux I/O configurations are supported. Features Aux I/O Types Latched Relay Outputs Momentary Relay Outputs Latched Input Buffers Momentary Input Buffers Interlocked Relay Groups Channel-Associated Aux I/Os General Information Momentary Input - This is an input where the user interface always shows the true state of the input. If the input is active, it is shown as active. If it is not active, it is shown as not active. Latched Input - This is an input where the user interface doesn t necessarily show the true state of the input. When the input goes active, the user interface shows the state as active. The display will continue to show the state as active even if the input changes to the inactive state. A dispatcher must manually reset the display to return it to the inactive state. Note that a dispatcher cannot clear the display until the input itself is in the inactive state. Momentary Output - This is an output relay which is activated when the dispatcher presses the button on the user interface and deactivated when the dispatcher releases the button. Latched Output - This is an output relay which changes state only when the dispatcher presses the button. The release of the button has no effect on the state of the relay. One press activates the relay; the next press deactivates the relay. Interlocked Latched Output - This is a latched output relay which is part of a group of latched output relays. Only one of the relays in the group may be active at a time. Pressing the button for a relay automatically deactivates the previously active relay. Pressing the same button twice does not deactivate that relay. There is always one and only one relay active in the group at all times. Interlocked relays work in a break before make fashion; that is, the previously active relay is deactivated before the new relay is activated. The maximum number of relays that can be grouped together in an interlocked group is the number of relays in the RTU hosting

SDM 3000 Basic RTUs The F4543 SDM3000 Basic RTU is used to support most console Aux I/O needs. The RTU is rack mountable in a standard 19 inch rack and is one rack unit high. The RTU is capable of supporting up to 16 outputs and 48 inputs. Expansion chassis (each being the same physical size as the SDM3000 RTU) can be added to increase the number of inputs and outputs. The supported configurations are as follows. A single SDM 3000 Basic RTU supports 16 Relay Outputs and 48 Input Buffers A single SDM 3000 Basic RTU with 1 expansion chassis supports 32 Relay Outputs and 96 Input Buffers A single SDM 3000 Basic RTU with 2 expansion chassis supports 48 Relay Outputs and 144 Input Buffers Two options are available for powering the RTU. One of the following power options must be ordered with each RTU. These are not needed with the expansion chassis. VA00905 - ADD: +/- 24/48 VDC Power Operation V266 - ADD: AC Power Operation The VA00874 ADD: Aux I/O Server Firmware Current ASTRO Release option should be ordered with the RTU to add the required application software. If desired, punch blocks may be ordered with the RTU by using the V592 ADD: Punch Blocks option. MCC Series I/O Shelf The MCC Series I/O Shelf can be used with the SDM3000 RTU to provide any required external relays and/or inverters. The MCC Series I/O Shelf interfaces to the SDM3000 RTU via the RTU s relay outputs and input buffers. There is no data communication link between the two units. It is merely acting as a translator to translate the RTU s relays into Form B, Form C or double-pole or to translate an active low signal into an active high signal that can be properly detected by the RTU. Please see the MCC 7500 Product Planner and Ordering Guide for more information on this. The MCC Series I/O Shelf is rack mountable in a standard 19 inch rack and is one rack unit high. It consists of a metal chassis, an internal power supply, a controller module and between one and four I/O modules. Each I/O module contains six double pole Form C relays. The MCC Series I/O Shelf comes standard with one I/O module already in it. Up to three additional I/O modules can be added to provide up to a total of 24 relays. If more than twentyfour relays pairs are needed, additional MCC Series I/O Shelves should be ordered. RTU Software Upgrades/Downgrades When upgrading a MCC 7500 console to a newer system release, the software in any SDM 3000 RTUs being used as Aux I/O servers also needs to be upgraded. This is done by ordering the T7955 All Configuration Software and Firmware to Current Version model with the appropriate option on it. The T7955 provides a single CD containing the desired software, regardless of how many of the following options are ordered with it. When upgrading to the current shipping release, the CA02411AA Aux I/O Server Firmware Upgrade option is used. One CA02411AA must be ordered for each Aux I/O server being upgraded. A maximum of 100 of this option can be ordered with a single T7955. When upgrading to an older release, the CA02405AA Aux I/O Server Firmware Downgrade option is used. One CA02405AA must be ordered for each Aux I/O server being downgraded. A maximum of 100 of this option can be ordered with a single T7955. There is no need to specify which older release is needed because the CD will contain software for all the older releases. Manuals

Note: VPM-based AISs may not be ordered with 7.6 or earlier systems. Voice/secure-card-based AISs should be ordered with those systems. VPM-based AISs may only be ordered for use with 7.7 or later systems. The VPM-based AIS consists of a PC with a Windows operating system, a VPM and the necessary AIS application software. AIS PC A VPM-based AIS uses a dropship workstation PC together with a VPM. The dropship workstation PC comes with the Windows 7 operating system, keyboard and mouse. It does not include a monitor or Ethernet cable. If desired, these items must be ordered separately. Each PC used with an AIS also requires the Symantec Anti-Virus application. Network Security Price Page Note that the PC ships with a North American AC line cord. VPM and Licenses When used with a MCC 7500 AIS, the VPM requires a MCC 7500 AIS Software License (CA00288AB) and one of the AC line cord options (CA00140AA, CA00140AB, CA00140AC or CA00140AF). The software license grants the customer the right to use the AIS application software, including the right to use the API portion of the software. The VPM does not include an Ethernet cable. It must be ordered separately. Secure Options The VPM is capable of supporting up to 6 different encryption algorithms simultaneously.

They are needed, however, when installation or servicing the AIS. The keyboard and mouse are included with the dropship workstation. The monitor and trackball must be ordered separately if they are desired. Monitor Monitor Price Page Keyboard Mouse Trackball (See Accessories section below) Adding or Upgrading Encryption Algorithms on VPM-Based Dispatch Consoles and AISs using a KVL 3000 Plus If a customer wishes to add new encryption algorithms to existing secure-capable VPM-based MCC 7500 dispatch consoles and/or archiving interface servers using a KVL 3000 Plus KVL, the MCC 7500 VPM Secure Algorithm Upgrade (T7583) should be ordered along with the desired algorithm options. Order one algorithm option for each VPM that is being upgraded. For example, to add the DES-OFB and AES algorithms to twenty-four VPMs, order two T8063s with twenty-four CA00143AC options on one and twenty-four

The T8063 can support up to 100 copies of any single algorithm option. (Since the DES-OFB algorithm isn't being upgraded, no options are required for it.) Example 2 - If 24 dispatch console and 3 AISs each need to have the ADP algorithm added to them, then 1 T7207 and 27 CA00245AA options are required. The desired number of encryption algorithm options are ordered as sub-items to the T7207 Field Replaceable Units (FRUs) Field replaceable units (FRUs) are orderable via the accessory numbers shown below. Recorders and Replay Stations Each AIS requires a recorder. Refer to IP Recorders Price Page for information about the recorders and how to order them. Replay stations are required to replay the recorded audio. Refer to IP Recorders Price Page for information about the replay stations and how to order them. Page 1 of 8 MCC 7500 IP Logging Recorder SERVICES ARE NO LONGER INCLUDED IN ECAT MODEL NUMBERS General Information SERVICES ARE NO LONGER INCLUDED IN THE MODELS BELOW. NICE MUST QUOTE ALL SERVICES INCLUDING TRAINING, PM, AND INSTALLATION. The MCC 7500 IP Logging Recorder provides audio call recording and archiving for ASTRO 25 radio systems. It is the only certified, tested, and supported solution that Motorola sells for ASTRO 25 recording. Jointly developed with NICE Systems, the MCC 7500 IP Logging Recorder has been tested and certified with the MCC 7500 console in every Motorola ASTRO 7.x system release. An innovative recording solution that allows public safety organizations to record their radio system communications, it utilizes a Xeon Intel 6 Core Processor with logical drives in a RAID 1 array configuration providing up to 75,000 on-line channel hours of storage, dual DAT160 drives for audio, a single DAT160 drive for CLS, 6 hot plug redundant fans, dual redundant power supplies, two HP 1U SCSI rack mount kits, and Windows Server 2008 R2 (starting with the A7.13 release). The 10 simultaneous call recorder is scalable with the ability to add capacity with the purchase of additional call licenses. The MCC 7500 IP Logging Recorder works in conjunction with an Archiving Interface Server (AIS) utilizing an API that allows the recording system to specify which talkgroups and conventional channels will be recorded. Because this API allows call control data to be passed to the recorder system, Motorola's recording solution provides unique capabilities. Customers have the ability to: See a call originator's unit ID and/or alias See the type of call initiated - talkgroup, emergency, conventional See when certain radio events occurred - emergency acknowledgement/knockdown, changes in frequency or PL selection, etc. The following types of radio system calls are capable of being processed via the AIS and recorded on the logging recorder: Conventional PTT Call Trunked Talkgroup Call Trunking Announcement Group Call Trunking Emergency Call The following types of trunking radio system events are capable of being processed via the AIS and recorded on the logging recorder: Call Alert Emergency Alarm Emergency Acknowledge Emergency Knockdown Repeater On/Off Main/Alt Status The following types of conventional radio system events are capable of being processed via the AIS and recorded on the logging recorder:

Page 2 of 8 Frequency Selection Private Line (PL) Selection Mute Second Receiver Repeater On/Off Wildcard I Wildcard II Recorders now come in the following capacities: 10 simultaneous transmissions (upgradeable up to 120 simultaneous transmissions) 120 simultaneous transmissions The recorder's capacity for recording simultaneous calls is scalable and can be tailored to suit the customer's needs. An option is available which allows the recorder to increase capacities by steps of 10 up to a limit of 120 simultaneous transmissions. The simultaneous transmissions capacity of a recorder includes all the trunked talkgroups and conventional channels being recorded via the AIS. Due to the different vocoders used with trunked and conventional audio, the following equation should be used to determine the size of the recorder required to meet a particular customer's needs. 1.7 x (# of simultaneous conventional calls) + (# of simultaneous trunked calls) = required simultaneous call capacity Factors to consider when sizing an MCC 7500 IP Logging Recorder. For customers that use regrouping, there are nuances to consider when sizing the recorder's capacity. The below highlights scenarios that could be encountered. It is best to discuss with the customer how they use these features and the impact their usage patterns might have on the recorders size requirements. Regrouping's Impact on Call Licenses in the Recorder A dispatcher has a patch set up with "N" regroupable trunking talkgroups in it. The dispatcher is transmitting on the patch. This results in N calls being logged on the logging recorder which consume N of the licenses. While the dispatcher is transmitting on the patch, a radio begins transmitting on one of the talkgroups in the patch. This results in an additional N calls being logged on the logging recorder which consume an additional N of the licenses. The end result is 2 x N licenses are consumed by this scenario. A dispatcher has a multiselect group open with N regroupable trunking talkgroups in it. The dispatcher is transmitting on the multiselect. This results in N calls being logged on the logging recorder which consume N of the licenses. While the dispatcher is transmitting on the multiselect, a radio begins transmitting on one of the talkgroups in the multiselect. This results in an additional N calls being logged on the logging recorder which consume an additional N of the licenses. The end result is 2 x N licenses are consumed in this scenario. Audio and events which have been recorded are accessed through the NICE Scenario Replay application (pre-a7.12) and/or Inform Lite (A7.11 and beyond). Inform Lite is a state-of-the-art multiple channel search and replay tool and is configurable to meet specific customer needs. The NICE logging recorders and playback stations are configured and managed by a common administration application. This application can be run on a playback station PC or on a dedicated PC. System Requirements: 1. Motorola Archiving Interface Server (AIS)

Page 5 of 8 3 licenses with the 120 simultaneous call recorder). Software installation should not be required for Inform Lite as it is a browser based replay application. Upgrades & Telephony Integration 1. UPGRADES - The MCC 7500 IP Logging Recorder requires upgrades with each system release. Please contact the UO PM working on the system releases. A quotation will be required for the upgrade - the quote includes pricing for NICE software and on-site technical installation. The logging recorder upgrade should take place immediately after the system upgrade. A document outlining the requirements can be found at the Compass site below. 2. "Integration" with existing telephony (analog) recorders. If a customer requires the ability to access both a telephony (analog) recorder(s) and a MCC 7500 IP recorder(s) from one replay station then the sales team must work with the field engineering team on the design. An integration document is available at the Compass site below that provides guidance for designing an integrated MCC 7500 IP and telephony/analog logging recorder system. The NICE implementation engineer will configure the logging recorders, but it will be the responsibility of the Motorola field team to "integrate" the system (configure and design border router, firewall settings, etc). For the NiceLog and HDL Plus recorders, integrating these with a trunked system requires a separate CLS server. and should be quoted by sales. All other logging recorders (NiceCall Focus III NPX, and NRX) have CLS integrated in the box. The CLS server is part number TT2588A. 3. ML370 G4 servers are supported through ASTRO 25 release 7.9. They require a minimum of 2GB of RAM for A7.9 which is supplied by NICE. The ML370 G4 servers WILL NOT be supported beyond the A7.9 release. The ML370 G5 servers WILL NOT be supported beyond the A7.11 release. Note that the ML370 G5 DVD- RAM drives are not supported in A7.12 / A7.13 release due to driver issues. It is also important to note that HP support for the ML370 G4 servers has ended and the ML370 G5 servers have an end of support the Q3 2014 so it is necessary that the servers are replaced prior to this date. General Notes 1. The MCC 7500 IP logging recorder and AIS are certified in Motorola's System Integration & Test (SIT) as part of the system release. The integrated telephony solutions are not certified in ASTRO 25 releases. 2. The MCC 7500 IP Logging Recorder being used with the AIS is not capable of supporting other types of recording interfaces (PBX, T1/E1, analog line, etc.). Separate recorders must be used for anything that isn't coming through the AIS (e.g., recording telephony audio from a PBX or recording analog audio directly from its source). Please see ordering instruction # 2 in Upgrades & Telephony Integration section for incorporating a telephony/analog recorder with an MCC 7500 IP logging recorder. 3. Due to the size of the IP logging recorder, some customers may desire a cabinet for racking of the equipment. If mounting in a 2 post rack, part number DDN9748A can be ordered. This is a black shelf for a 19" 2 post rack. 4. NICE Storage Center is not currently certified for use on Motorola ASTRO 7.x systems. 5. A KVM is strongly recommended as a keyboard, mouse, and monitor are required for both installation and administration of the system. 6. The MCC 7500 IP Logging Recorder has no Motopatch support in the ASTRO 25 7.12 release. This restriction is limited to the A7.12 release. 7. Customer retention requirements must be shared with NICE for the MCC 7500 IP logging recorder and / or telephony logging solutions. Retention requirements dictate how the database is configured within the logging system during installation. If a change in retention requirements is required after initial installation, the configuration change could impact recording and / or result in a loss of audio. For technical information on the ASTRO 25 IP Digital Logging Recorder subsystem feature please reference the MCC 7500 System Planner.
